  1. I was a huge Kent fan, but he needed a change, could hardly get on the park for us. Prefer Fritsch to Watts, ditto May over Hogan. Howe was a big loss but wanted to leave & may not have reached his current heights with us if he wasn't happy staying. Can't provide answers to your H questions, thought he started well with us but then injury struck & it was over fairly quickly.
  2. Smith was sent forward after getting a minor injury, Goody confirmed in his post match

How did I 'blast' away? What you said was wrong.....

Wrong, we will use 4 picks in the draft & if any more rookies are picked up they'll have to qualify for Cat B status.
  5. If they take frost & pick 10 for him its a steal, no way we get a 2nd rounder back imo. Its likely our starting position & would possibly require a swap/downgrade on later picks on top. Its been reported they'll push for 2 x 1st rounders for him. Frost is worth an early 2nd at best. We got frost, plus picks used on anb & o.mac for an early 2nd round pick.....
  6. Agree with your general sentiment, but I'm pretty sure Heeney & Mills would've been named in the top 3 mids from the last 2 years..... Here's hoping our boys develop better than the Swans kids!Btw, thanks WJ for all the Parish info.
  7. We planned on upgrading our draft picks before the trade period despite only having pick 6 back then, so I think your premise is incorrect there..... If your trying to narrow down or do guesswork on who we will pick based on that its pretty flawed.
  8. Very different footy department than those who took cook, watts & molan oli. We have a development team now.....
  9. Bragger...... That is pretty awesome though! I wish
  10. The AFL know what players are on too & many media figures come from AFL leaks, so we'll likely get an idea eventually, especially if considered obscene &/or he is a bust for us.
  11. As I said about 10 pages back, this won't happen because bombers are ridiculous. They accepted the Ryder trade because Patty was ready to sue them as he still believes his sick child is the result of those injections!!! Fact! Imagine that story coming out in all its glory!! Lol Melksham is worth no more than a 3rd round at best, otherwise PSD, as others here have said, no one else looks like remotely touching him for 4 years & $1.6m so he should make it to us easily!!
  12. No sillier than when you are wrong.....
  13. Best argument 'for' so far...... If we get him really cheap I might swallow this line.
  14. 4 members of the Match Committee vote on our best & fairest. Still going after Garland hey? You have no idea. 24 years old ain't considered young in the afl btw. There's no more excuses after 114 games, soft & slow as a junior in a poor draft year, the exact 2 traits we already have in abundance!!!!
  15. That environment that Milkshake hasn't developed in is the same environment that Heppel & others have developed exceptionally well in. He's been around a lot longer than just this drug saga.
  16. 4 years? And people think we'll pick him up cheap like Garlett!! Lol They'll want a 2nd rounder minimum purely based on us giving a former top 10 pick a 4 year offer!!! Really wish we had've kept Crossy for another year or 2 instead. He is an upgrade on Cross' 2015 form? I highly doubt it. And I thought Cross was moved on to give more time to youngsters, not a 24 year old who'll be 25 & in his 7th year next year, a veteran who is considered soft and a hack by the majority of Essendon fans (I'd say all their supporters but someone here knows one blind, I mean passionate, supporter that really really rates him apparently - they obviously don't post on Bomberblitz however).
  17. I would rather pump games into Harmes, ANB, Stretch & even the likes of Newton & Michie (who offer just as much as Milkshake on what is likely to be MUCH less coin)..... Yes we need midfielders but this is not about slight upgrades on M. Jones & Bail anymore, these blokes are on their way out either this year or next, why give Essendon anything for a bloke who hasn't shown enough in 6 years. I'm happy to trade Watts too & anyone comparing the 2 situations forget Watts is much taller, more athletic & will always be worth more than Milkshake based on potential alone, whether he realizes that potential or not. If we got him for a bargain than maybe, but when was the last time the Dons were easy to deal with?
  18. I just can't see this happening. Partly cause I don't rate him but also cause he's not a FA, so gotta deal with the Dons who will probably start negotiations at pick 6 since he was a high pick himself with development (& injections)..... Even if they 'settle' for a 2nd or 3rd round pick, he's 4th rounder at best in a shallow draft imo, and if this is true geez I hope I'm wrong about this bloke. Yuck
  19. More dopey logic!!! Cale Morton & Sylvia were top picks too once upon a time, surely some of that blatantly obviously talent is still there too hey?? Ha!!!!P.S. We beat Geelong without Hogan too, so what's your point again? So Milkshake wracked em up against an opponent who paid him no respect, so bloody what?
  20. Not fair on Grimes who is a billion times more courageous, & Grimes at least finds the footy enough to be called a turnover merchant, Milkshake barely touches it, a complete dud! I'm not worried, Goodwin would be in a the box seat to make this most obvious call...... No way! Cannot believe people here are using the argument that cause we are 'shallow' in the midfield he would be good for us. Replacing poo with poo is not an upgrade, I would rather pump games into our young core thank you very much!! Or even re-sign McKenzie, at least he can tackle! Lol
  21. Jesse's on $500k next year. Not bad for 21. Bet Dawes was nowhere near that at his age & if Jesse really plays his cards right he could very well see $1.5m+ish in a few years given the way contracts for key forwards is going. Man I hope he reaches his full potential at MFC!!
  22. His leads were garbage when he did lead
  23. If both he & the club get their way this will be done. & before I get flamed, I heard that weeks ago from a Prestia, they didn't know for sure but they were confident he'll end up at his beloved demons somehow.
  24. Garland only goes if he decides to move on as a FA. He won't cost crazy $$ to keep & he's clearly rated as a required player by Roosy. Unlike Frawley we won't get overs or well compensated if he walks & I have it on good authority the club is confident he'll stay if we keep improving as other clubs pushing for finals are only offering small $ & a chance to play finals to him. If he won't break the bank & the club is confident he'll stay I see no benefit in the club pushing or moving him along. He's a long way off being lumped in with players of Riley, Michie, Bail's ilk, most clubs could find a place for Garland to do a job defensively each week. Anyone here who says otherwise is not being objective imo. His role every week is usually to shut down a bloke which he does very well, both tall, small & on dangerous resting midfielders. If Grimes or H could do it as well or better they'd already be getting those jobs ahead of Garland. Wow, never thought I'd be defending Garlo before, I'm not even a huge fan of his, but he does add value to the team imo..... Howe on the other hand.......
