  1. A bunch of losers...fittingly Collingwood is also behind on the scoreboard.
  2. Re Gunston, are we getting sucked in by memories of what he was like when Hawthorn were a powerhouse (with elite delivery) compared to what he is now? Gunston is still a fine player but is he really a recruitment priority we already have Fritsch executing the 3rd forward role very well?
  3. Jason Taylor and the recruitment team.
  4. Now, do we do it on 3? Or do we count 1,2,3 and then do it?

It seems like VDB has lost a lot of his pace and his closing speed when making tackles was a big part of his game. Probably unlikely that he plays a part in our finals campaign and he's coming out of contract - could be at risk of not being offered an extension. I get the romanticism, but I also can't see Jones as being part of our best combination on the harder faster September grounds; the caveat being that conditions are wet and slippery - then maybe bring him in for extra grunt.
  6. Wow, just WOW. Free kicks 28 to 17. Should change their name from the Eagles to the Pelicans.
  7. Back to the more serious nature of Tex Walkers's poor behaviour and the kind of culture it could foster within your team and environment - including opponents and fans of both clubs. It's a massive leadership fail - the antithesis of creating a safe environment where people feel safe and are more likely to flourish - providing they are putting the required effort in. By way of contrast, listen to Paddy Mills talk about the culture of the Boomers in his interview after the bronze medal match; that's leadership!
  8. It's the perfect system for perfect people and that's its fundamental limitation.
  9. YES Especially Yak Milk.
  10. Excellent point. Hopefully they're sent to all points of the compass next year!
  11. Yes, poor bugger. At 29-years of age I wonder if he will be able to rehabilitate his knee in time to keep his career going?
  12. Thanks @HarmesWay, two simple and good rules to live by there. When walking her to school, back before me daughter considered parental proximity a total embarrassment, my last words to her at the gate were "be kind to yourself and others". She is an intelligent young girl and intuitively understood that this does NOT extend to umpires.
  13. Hmm 🤔 , doing their damndest to make it a 'once in a lifetime' experience?
  14. Thanks @Watson11, looking at the AFL Match Review Panel Calculator aka Chooklotto I see it as being: Conduct: Intentional Impact: Medium Contact: High Base sanction 3 matches, with early plea 2 matches.
  15. Looked at the replay frame-by-frame. Selwood took his eyes off the ball and chose to bump, collected Taylor in the head - should get 2-weeks.
  16. 🎼 I feel like I'm going locko, down in Danapulco 🎼
  17. An insight from this game (what my 12-year old daughter would call a 'true fact') - Sam Collins topped the stats for Percentage Time On Ground!
  18. I say this with all the love I can muster - dig a hole and f@cking bury him!
  19. Wasn't too bright by Jack, deserved a week, maybe two. What irks me is that Selwood should have got 4-weeks for eye-gouging, there is no place in any sport for that sort of behaviour.
  20. Conclusive evidence that @old dee is NOT Gerry Harvey.
  21. I like trees. I like trees a lot. I am also aware that new trees can be grown.
  22. A bit late to the party!
