  1. Lots of very good prospects on the CDG listings. Paul Connors continues to be a prime agent for young and emerging talent.
  2. 37… ? Assuming we keep it as is and don’t trade it up , down or out It’s now unlikely that Latrelle Sumner-Pickett will be available , but it’s the draft so you never know. I had optimistically thought Cam Nairn might slip down into this 2nd round range but now seems unlikely. JT might have to call out his name on night 1. There is still going to be a very good youngster available by this mark. I agree with a few prior posters here that it may depend on our player types chosen at picks 7&8 and if JT wants to add a taller option or top up on a young midfielder WA: Fred Rodriguez, Sam Swadling SA: Matthew Leray, Blake Oudshoorn-Bennier, Jett Dahlitz Vic country: Riley Onley Vic metro : Rory Wright, Sam Allen This pick will be our final pick , with Kalani White likely to get our last pick as a matched father son bid.
  3. @george_on_the_outer agree. The ump called the crows into the right 666 formation !! The Dees men never got such a bonus !!
  4. Hore finished with 26 touches, seven marks and three goals and was at the forefront in the crucial moments.
  5. Kate Hore. That goal in the third quarter. Smart 👏 Skilled 👏 Entertaining 👏 👏👏👏 just amazing !!! She’s our leader ❤️💙❤️💙
  6. Kate Hore ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  7. Tahlia Gillard ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  8. Steele is a fantastic addition. He brings leadership. Culture. Determination. Inside mid to help replace Clarry and Trac. Perfect role model for Harvey Langford. He’s like a Jordan Lewis addition!! And he cost peanuts in the trade. Great work Dees 👏👏👏👏
  9. Agreed. By the draft period, all were considered top players (top 10) and went as expected. They all improved through their draft year and eventually went as predicted on draft night.
  10. Absolutely. Early 2nd round range around 30-35 is likely. He’s a bargain if he slips to the later stages.
  11. Just something about this kid He missed showing his talent at the championships but was excellent for the Eagles in underage and seniors at SANFL Has energy to compete hard plus has the skill on both left and right. He kicks goals. He’s smart. Good mark. Definitely see him as a player. “I’d pick myself, that’s not arrogance." Confident youngster Jevan Phillipou thinks he should go No. 1. But it shouldn’t be mistaken for arrogance, as he looks to follow in the footsteps of his brother.
  12. Cameron Nairn is a quality young player. 188cms. Yes he’s like Ollie Dempsey or a little like Jai Culley, or throw in a little Bailey Fritsch (but not as smoothe). Medium forward? Actually he plays more wing/half forward, or can shift to half back. He’s a smart player too. Left footer. Not highly skilled but good enough. His big assets are his endurance running power and his marking. He gets to contests and has good judgement. Kicking is not elite but satisfactory to be honest. Ball drop needs some work. I had him pegged in about pick 30-32 so it’ll be a big move to have him at the “11/12” (available 7/8). Again we all put faith in JTs capable hands.
  13. AFL treatment of the Melbourne Football Club

  15. Eagles: Duursma & CDT Tigers: Robey & Grjl Bombers: Cumming & Sharp Demons: Taylor⭐️ & Farrow⭐️ That’s a winner winner outcome I like Grlj & J.Lindsay/Farrow , but Taylor and Farrow would be great additions too
  16. That’s a kick in the nuts from the AFL
  17. The AFL have today confirmed the fixture for Gather Round 2026, with Melbourne set to take on Essendon on Saturday 11 April at 1.15pm local time. The blockbuster match will be played at Adelaide Oval, and will be a rematch of the club’s 2025 clash.
  18. @demoncat I am a huge fan of this young guy. Footy smart. Great mark. Tough. Determined. Whilst I think he goes early , agreed there’s a very small chance he falls to us … available picks if … 1 Duursma 2 CDT 3 Robey 4 Grlj 5 Sharp 6 Cumming … then Dees 7 X Taylor 8 any of Farrow/Dovaston/J.Lindsay/Nairn
  19. Ummmm. Away game v Lions in Brisbane in 85% humidity. No thank you!!! Let’s wait until May or June for any trip to the sunshine state
  20. One least we could use it for the big freeze game … 🤣🤣🤣 Let it go, let it go And I'll rise like the break of dawn Let it go, let it go That perfect player is gone Here I stand in the light of day Let the storm rage on The cold never bothered me anyway
  21. Just pump it up !!!
  22. Cal T’s latest write up … Few in the draft have the same speed and endurance mix as Grlj, who can put on the jets but also run all day. He showed that at the Draft Combine last month when he finished second in the 2km time trial (5:59 minutes) and ran the 20-metre sprint in 2.92 seconds. Grlj likes to use the weapon in games, too, with the Oakleigh Chargers prospect enjoying taking a glimpse around to check his bearings before going on a run. With his dash and dare, 'The Sizzler' brings something different to the mix of midfielders in the first round. Where does he go? As Richmond considers speed, Grlj has been in the Tigers' mix after playing in the club's VFL side late in the year. If not there, he could be back a bit further into the first round, with Greater Western Sydney among the clubs who could be a chance
  23. Cal T’s write up … Farrow started the season as a prospect to watch and as the year went on became Western Australia's leading draft hopeful. His flexibility – from half-back to midfield – and his size – 188cm – have been key parts of that, with the damaging left-footer standing out because of those attributes, He averaged 25 disposals at colts level with West Perth and also stepped up to play with West Perth's senior team, where he averaged 18 touches. Where does he go? Farrow is attending night one of the draft, and he is in the mix for several clubs with early selections. Essendon has done its work and Melbourne is a chance if he gets through to the Dees' pair of picks. Should he get past them, Hawthorn and the Giants loom as real contenders.
