Dees Potential Draft Play to Secure Pick #1
Zane Duursma is the player that I’m really hoping the Dees can land. Probably need pick 3 or 4 to get him. Excellent skills. Kicks equally on left and right. Good pace. Balanced. Can play inside but predominantly outside elite ball user. Loves a goal.

Dees Potential Draft Play to Secure Pick #1
Reid is a special young player , totally different to a Nick Daicos or Will Ashcroft. He has natural aggression. Intensity. He wants to win contests and thrives at the contest. How this translates to playing against men and not boys is something to consider. And what’s he’s best position?. He’s like a more aerobic and agile Jake Stringer. Forward. Back. Inside Midfield. Yet to be determined. Perhaps a Multi purpose player. Utility?!?!?! I’m a fan if we gave up 2 picks but 3 is a stretch aka a huge gamble.

Kozzy Pickett Re-Signs for 4 Years
Kozzzzy. I love you. My family loves you. But 16 points in my SuperCoach team. It’s soul destroying!!! (I also moved from Clarry to N.Daicos as skipper. Had the win this week but my spirit is cracking!)

Farewell Sam Weideman
In the last quarter, he unfortunately dropped three key marks inside forward 50 and missed the best chance for the Bombers from 15metres out. He didn’t have the intensity and hunger that AFL requires.

Farewell Sam Weideman
Anzac Day 2023 ✅contested mark. Goal. “What a talent” 🤮 dropped mark. Outbodied by Sidebottom. Missed tackle. “So much wasted potential “.

CASEY: Rd 05 vs Richmond
On today. Harmes is the only one that’s looking capable at the next level. Though Turner Woey and Howes should get a run soon likely as a sub possibility.

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Cooper Simpson. Zane Duursma. Correction WJ Both youngsters did the AFL Academy work experience training at the Demons during the pre season and both were ABSOLUTELY TOTALLY SUPER impressive. Both Simpson and Duursma would be the perfect additions to our team.

CASEY: Rd 05 vs Richmond
“Talented draft prospect Cooper Simpson will play for Casey Demons' VFL side on Sunday. The midfielder won the Dandenong Stingrays' best and fairest last year as a bottom-ager and featured for the AFL Academy last week. Zane Duursma set to play for Casey next week at VFL level.”

NON-MFC: Rd 06 2023
Good luck to you Oskar Baker. Looked at home in the AFL. Not the top of the class but has been very handy for the Bulldogs so far.

James Harmes
Absolutely love Harmesy. He’s a ripping bloke. Friendly. Great with the fans. Great with Jon Amos. Dees supporter as a kid and gives 110%. He has been heart and soul over many years and a premiership player. But his game v Lions was horrible. Horrible. 10 disposals. 4 turnovers. 4 free kicks against. He suffers badly from continually tackling too high around the neck and shoulders. Not the waist. His disposals were tardy at best. I think missed tackles also were evident. We hope he’s in the right mindset (two weeks away for personal leave) and gets the clubs support where possible. In the VFL, he was clearly above the standard and dominated. But his disposals were still lacking the sharpness by hand and foot that are needed at the top AFL level. I think his role is maybe purely as a defensive/tagging mid. It’s needed as we’ve had opposition players dominate us in the midfield without the negating role impact (example Parish last week). I think more time at Casey is needed to reassess where he is at. Hopefully he can rediscover some of the hard edge he had in 2021 and prior to reinsert himself into our midfield.
