I don't think it matters, we will beat them
-
I agree, but right now our midfield is very light on, surely one more bigger body wouldn't hurt our chances of at least competing?

http://www.melbournefc.com.au/video/2013-05-10/luke-tapscott-highlights Midfielder on not, this bloke has improved alot this year great pressure acts, works hard, strong, brave all the good things you want in a young player
-
He could certainly go into the bounce, in bursts, and i mean small bursts, he wouldn't have the pace to match most mids, but he may be handy if you desperately need to win a clearance
-
Just a question regarding this topic, If this is true, and for example we sacked Mark Neeld this week, could Paul Roos take over this year or would he have to wait until seasons end?
-
We basically have to now :/ cheers for taking the choice away caro!
-
I agree, Paul Roos on his own couldn't do a thing with this club, Paul roos, jackson, new assistants and so on potentially could. Having said that, Mark Neeld may well be on the right track
-
3 years from now, Cale Morton will still be running from Brendan Lade
-
Imagine Damien Barrett and Caroline wilson in a room together with that video? the amount of crap that would come out of a combination like that would be mind blowing.
-
Hahaha i still remember cale morton running away from brendan lade! classic
-
I simply can not stand the dragon lisp lady.
-
If we lose by 5 goals to gold coast and Mark Neeld says, " we thought it was a good effort to get within 5 goals" any shred of faith i have/had in him will be gone. We should win this game and there are no excuses when it's at the G

Sylvia had his first full pre season and he's playing really good Football, i am really hoping Trengove will get one this year and have the breakout year we're all hoping for
-
Maybe Pederson and Sellar while we're going? sorry couldn't help myself

I think we have a different definition of Match Fitness, i hope for his sake if there is something more serious going on such as OP they do the right thing and put him on Ice, he is a long term prospect, i'm sure us supporters can deal with him not being out there if we know he will be as close as possible to 100% for the first day of pre season, or even later in the year
-
And then you look at a Fremantle who believe they can match anyone, anywhere with any players because of how good a game plan they have.

They're saying it's the stress fracture and lack of match fitness, both could cause him to lose pace and form, the fracture could cause some discomfort for a long period, match fitness he needs to play to regain, i understand where you're coming from but we can only guess by what we can see, he lacks pace and power, to me that suggests OP but other than that i have no idea what the go is.
-
It's a concern for everyone i think, but i'm sure Dave mission and co would have a fair idea what's causing it and how to treat it
-
No disrespect mate, but i think a stress fracture is a pretty decent excuse to be down on pace and form, i also think OP is probably involved on some level with regards to his lack of power in his legs, wouldn't mind seeing Jack Trengove catch up with Luke ball during his recovery and get some advice on how to manage it.
-
Mate, i really hope he is! we're trying to build a culture where hard work brings you reward, he has been probably in the top 3 players at casey every week, he is a mid and he is exactly what we need to remain competitive while our captains and mitch are out, it's baffling why they haven't elevated him at this point, unless they want to spring a surprise on someone.
-
Just a brainstorm but may be worth playing Shannon Byrnes on the ball for alot of this match, not sure if he has the endurance needed but another bit of ex around the bounce couldn't hurt? Thoughts?
-
It's not a bad theory although don't casey have a bye this week?
-
You'd expect guys like Toumpas and Viney to be able to hold their own a little bit more against a team like Gold coast with so many young players, it may be that Neeld just wants to back the young blokes in, for me Magner has demanded consideration at the very least and i don't see why Grimes would go on the long term injury list if not to promote a rookie.

can they change that at any stage? like could they decide saturday arvo to elevate Magner and then play him sunday or are there certain time frames this has to be done within each week? i can't understand why he isn't playing this week, another strong midfielder would be worth his weight in gold to us right now.
-
I wonder if Toumpas comes back in now? probably needs another week or two at casey to get some confidence.
