I've heard some 20/20-hindsight on the radio from the jackle's foaming at the mouth for bad news for the MFC and after their initial gob-smacked reaction, they tried to sniff out a conspiracy and then... saying that Melbourne isn't a preferred destination. Just love smacking those people with a reality check that were lining up to have a go at us!!! I feel like going on BF and just gloating for a week... FLAT OUT... lol

It's funny how many usually talk tough when the heat is on, but then turn to water with gooey sentiment. The club is right, 'We will choose the best player available with our pick 3. Only IF MFC think he's number 3 choose him. The Sun's play games and choose Viney to try and get us to bid. Stuff 'em, have him. He's said he'll go, he's a big boy, he'll be fine. One of the most impressive things about him is recording these testing results after coming back from that serious injury. At some point in AFL life all players will have to battle through this process. He's passed with flying colours! Ideally now... Stringer at 14. If it was between him and Hogan at 4, jeepers Hogan looks real' good! But Stringer's going to be a brilliant player for whoever he puts on the boots for.

Just read this article, and I pity the fool that has to deal with the Collingwood's negotiation BS. Eagles Deal 'Nowhere Near' WetCoke will have a hell of a time pulling Wellingham across. You'd think one firsty would be enough, but not for Eddie 'Hungry Chops' McGuire. Eagles should pull a Luke Ball on them and say 'fine, no deal!' OK, I agree with you if they want him... BID! But don't allow them to bid because they know we'll choose him at 3. It is brinksmanship, and you have to get it in the Suns mind that you choose him, fine we'll take Toumpas/O'Rourke/Wines/Hogan. Sucked in! Get the media to run a story about JV 'managing' OP, don't allow them to do a medical and say take him if you want him. MFC win, and we get him with the 2nd pick. Now, Tippett. The Sun's are well placed to engineer a PSD scenario. Admittedly GWS are in the way, but they'll suck the marrow out of that bone before they hand over any picks. The likelihood of GC giving up pick 2 is minimal. (Not to say it won't happen, but Adelaide have got to get Kissinger to the table if it's going to happen.) Don't be a twink and tell me that I'd offer Petterd either.

The MFC have totally mis-managed this. There was chance for us to take him at 20-something but that's gone. The Suns will bid 2, and I'm not convinced that they would have anyway. It is crap the way every other club can get their act together and engineer situations to suit themselves. Example: Luke Ball, Chris Tarrant. Probably Kurt Tippett if the Suns play their part well. Remember Luke Ball saying he'd take time away from football if any other club chose him. Bally doubles down...doesn't he? It is amateur hour at Melbourne! If anyone cares to put up an argument of how can we control what is said by Jack Viney, son of a MFC champion... then how on earth are we going to win the hearts and minds of anyone else. This is a big get for Melbourne if rumours are true. Totally under-rated player. A lot better then Wooden-Hands-Cloke. Something to store in the memory bank for future, if Q comes to Melbourne then Richo's comment on Grand Final day proves he has a very unreliable source.

Is it too early to ask Jack Viney to do something for us?

The squeeze is on their fat little wallets. Loving it... and when they try to put that wallet in their pockets a few gems will squeeze out. Hopefully for a bargain basement price! Remember when Essendon let got Blumfield, Heffernan and Caracella. They didn't want that, but it was pretty to watch.

I like the idea of Hogan. Someone mentioned the name Brown and I couldn't get up to write my answer on the chalk-board. I don't understand why people are saying pick 3 though,,. Who's going to outbid our pick 4?

First time, long time. Given that Neil Craig was responsible for drafting him and letting him go after a year, I feel like we're well placed to have the inside word on what would need to have changed to make him worthwhile. It seems like Neeld's choices are based on attitude and talent in that order.
