I have no idea how old he is but I've never been more excited about a potential Demon. Its the Wizs son for christs sake, and his name is Kobe. He's destined for greatness. ps. Anyone know how old he is and what club hes playing for?
  2. First thing I thought too when Frosty re-signed. Now perhaps theres no correlation, but youd think that if something was cooking with Lever we would leave Frost as a trade option at trade week. Hes not moving now. The thick plottens.

7th in coaches voting, yet not even in the AA squad of 40. Should have been in the 22. It is really quite disgraceful.
  4. Well assuming we trade pick10 for Lever, we would surely take a midfielder at pick 27 as we need to stock up through there, in fact it is of ultra importance with Vince, Lewis and soon Jones coming to the end.

    Is it opposite day?
  6. Yup, it will be a real risk not taking him with the 2nd rounder, assuming hes still on the board (and assuming we are into him).
  7. A phenomenal season with Casey and was red hot again in yesterdays final with another 4 goals. 20 years old, 186 cm, beautiful left boot, fantastic mark, great goal sense. Sitting 5th in the VFL goalkicking. Could be Hannan 2.0, though his upside is even greater. Get him.
  8. According to Slobbo, Lever has verbally committed to the Dees. https://www.sen.com.au/news/2017/09/02/lever-has-verbal-commitment-to-dees-robbo/ We will soon see how good the drunkards mail is.
  9. It was always gonna happen. The AFL was desperate to give them positive press after all the drug stuff. Soft draw, let them keep their top picks, 3 AA selections.... the AFL has no credibility at all. They were barely punished.
  10. Either would be a dream, and id gladly pay a little overs. Both are the perfect cream on top of our contested ball winning midfield.
  11. We must have been told Josh Kelly isnt interested in MFC, or hes staying at GWS. Unless something's happening behind the scenes. Would hope we are making Kelly priority 1 if he is available. Lever a distant 2nd.
  12. For that sort of money he had better be Glen Jakovich 2.0
  13. Another thing I love about Lever is that he has all the tools to be a superstar key forward. With Hogan there and Weid coming through, that may never eventuate though at least not permanently.
  14. A hypotheical - If Jake has already committed to us verbally behind the scenes, can he change his mind? Is anything legally binding if no contract has been signed?

Playing the footy of his life as a forward, and was moved back. Stupid.
  16. Glad i read through the last few pages.... Chooks mail is as good as anyones in the media, actually better. Now officially excited.

Mahoney and co. might be working their magic in the background. The thought of Kelly at the MFC is amazing... but we surely couldnt get both he and Lever? Wouldnt have enough to trade, for starters.

The Draft and Trading board is going to be great this year. Great players possibly on the move (Lever, Kelly), we are a destination club finally and we own our 1st rounder unlike last season. But whats even greater is that it isnt open yet! And hopefully isnt until our last game is finished (ie. the Grand Final)
  19. Lever 1st Frost 27th Oscar 33rd Enough said. edit - well not enough said, they do play different roles. Didnt expect Oscar to be too high as our main tall back.
  20. If he stays a Demon for his whole career, Neitz's goals record will be challenged.
  21. Jake Melksham showed his worth, tightening his control on Dayne Zorko after the Lion was prolific in the opening term. Zorko finished with 26 disposals and a goal but his influence was limited after the first change, while Melksham had an impact himself as he picked up 29 disposals, a goal and 472m gained. The Melk rules.
  22. BOOKMARKED DONT LET US DOWN KURT
  23. The metres gained king and averaging 28 touches off half back combined with his immense courage.... surely will be AA. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2017-08-16/all-australian-40man-squad-whos-in-the-mix-from-your-club Michael Hibberd: Missed the first four games due to an Achilles injury, but the former Bomber has been one of the competition's best defenders this season. Hibberd has been one of the recruits of the year, with the attacking defender averaging a career-high 28 disposals and ranking No.1 in the AFL for average metres gained per match (566.9m).

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2017-08-16/all-australian-40man-squad-whos-in-the-mix-from-your-club Clayton Oliver: Deserves to be in the final team based on his consistent output in a breakout second year at AFL level. Oliver has averaged 30 disposals, including 10 games above 30 touches or more, and 6.8 clearances per game. Gets criticised by some for over handballing, but his hands in heavy congestion are elite and almost unrivalled.
