@binman Are there any stats on the accuracy when kicking around the corner vs a regular drop punt? I for the life of me ( other than on the boundary line ) don’t understand why coaches allow players when directly in front to kick it round the corner.

Not sure if you can easily see this marked up photo. This was a boundary throw in, with Essendon putting a spare in defence. Melbourne had 2v1 with their extra in the centre of the ground. Anyone able to explain the intent here. Is it to try and bring the ball through the corridor by hand or foot or either?

Not a question but more of a comment. I was hopeful, but after witnessing that live, I see why people say we are cooked. No leg speed, fitness not up to standard, no cohesion. Simon could be the best coach in the land. It doesn’t matter, we need something drastic, We need a reset button. The obvious choice is a fresh voice as coach. The other is a raft of changes, dropping a number of senior players.

Warm one in Adelaide today - hopefully it cools down for game time. Looking forward to a strong performance, but I’ll take anything, that’s a win!

I wonder how the width of the cattery affects this game style requiring biting off accurate kicks? If there is less space maybe we will see a bit more of the older game plan?
