Roos has inherited some sooky mummy boys who are at best pre season champions. when the real stuff starts they fluff about like B graders. As for HOWE, he has done sweet bugger all as yet and needs to take the initiative instead of the weekly speccy. How long do some of these blokes need FFS.

Hird and his own cheer squad continue to bleat! Now it's his missus on ABC tonite FFS Oh did I forget something? Or has Tanya Hey Tanya - you slag off the AFL culture, remind everyone that your whole life with ah James has been a beneficiary of this culture. The dumb Essendon members must feel proud that they have paid for the Hird family to live in France all expenses paid. The hubris of this family is just astonishing.

Chiming in for my 2 bobs worth on the eve of the season. Paralysis by analysis has gripped DL yet again before a ball is bounced in anger. As for the Roos interview, good on the bloke for speaking his mind and answering the questions bluntly. Roos paid job is to make his group of footballers compete at the highest level in AFL. FWIW and from what I have seen at training, I reckon the players are on track. As for bagging previous coaches and administration at the MFC - bloody well go for it in my opinion. The last 7 years and those associated with it do NOT and should NOT expect anything but the full stinking wrath of members and supporters. Personally I don't want to see them anywhere near the club! As to the immediate future lets give a premiership coach the respect he deserves. As to paralysis by analysis - leave that for the Corby supporters!

Smug arrogant and untrustworthy - That is the Essendon Football Club! Not once during this whole saga have I hear the word sorry come from anyone at this morally bankrupt club. Thousands of injections of STUFF because no one has a clue what they injected into their bodies! Paul Little and his arrogant club deserve whatever comes to them. Oh to be running around again! Ended up playing for Coburg VFA days, a couple of seasons as a skinny kid amongst the big boys. Knees copped the brunt of heavier bodies hitting me but still managed a couple of years in the seniors. Few Essendon lads came in when they were done at the old VFL.

I hope your right because it is looking rather dim apart from the Roos appointment. All the good air is being sucked out again and perceptions are not looking good. Players and coaches appear to be avoiding this club like the avian flu.

Thanks to those who stuffed this club prior to the new regime. Free agency and trades will make strong clubs stronger while the rest rot in the background. Equalisation is further away day by day. I am furious that the MFC is not a club of choice for future jets, previous administrations should hang their heads in shame.

I know we need midfielders but giving West Coke or Filthy pies our pick 2 eats away at my guts. Last thing we need is to assist those powerhouses even stronger onfield.

100% correct , spot on!! Mckenzie and Baker are the real deal. Caro's reputation is built on leaks and contacts from within the industry, and the rest of the footy journos are just that...footy story tellers. If you want hard hitting journalistic gold then McKenzie and Baker are your men.

Colless has been a great chairman for the Swans but like Kennett is a blowhard and needs the attention on him. When will these types learn to retire gracefully? Richard - you have done a belter of a job with Sydney now shut up and stay out of MFC business. Paul Roos has every right to go his hardest for his new employer and he is paid very good money to do so and the MFC is entitled to PR doing everything in his power to improve this club. Lately there are too many AFL Club Presidents having too much to say about the MFC. Go Dees.

Roos will make the MFC a more attractive destination for quality players - that is a dead set certainty! The other certainty is we have cash and draft picks with which to negotiate. Our salary cap will absorb some quality picks if they are available and willing to join the Roos led revival. The majority of our current list are not in a position to ask or bog cash contracts until they prove themselves.

After reading thread after thread of tea leaves about who may or may not be on MFC radar for 2014, I wanted to kick off with real life scenarios and get away from all this tarot card recruiting possibilities. If anybody has some dead set certainties then post them here!

Mark Robinson @ Robbo needs to take a long hard look in the mirror on this Messendon drama. Either he removes himself from Fox Footy and all other media or he starts becoming unbiased and objective on this issue. The football public have been totally dudded by the AFL and all others complicit in this saga, and the only way the truth will ever be known is for a Judicial enquiry to be held. As for Messendon, they continue to puff their collective chests out as if they have been hard done by! AFL in this town is looking very shabby under ADs leadership throughout this crisis, and its time for some truth and transparency ...is that too much to ask for?

The desperation by some here is out of control. Our club will look like prize turkeys if this tool go off the rails at the MFC. Do we need this? Hell no!
