Wouldn't it ultimately come down to whether he has actually been delisted? What is his actual status right now? LTI or off list
I believe Josh Mahoney said in the press conference announcing that Mitch Clark had retired that he would remain on the list for this year.

Haha this just reminded me, against Carlton there was a ball up on the wing on Southern Stand side. The ball was tapped down straight to Gibbs and he was tackled instantly. The crowd was dead quiet expecting a ball-up and as a joke I let out an almighty yell of "baaaaaalllllllll" - the umpire stopped the direction he was walking waited a second or so then blew his whistle "holding the ball". My brother & I and the other Melbourne supporters around us started pissing ourselves, I don't know if my yell had any effect but it was pretty funny nonetheless. It happened about half way through the third quarter.
Well done, sir. Well done.

Like they way he marks the ball.
As soon as it's in the mitts he snatches it down to prevent the defender punching it out.

On the upside:
Lynden Dunn continues to impress with his efforts.
Chris Dawes works hard up and down the ground.
Some sparks in JKH and Salem.

How about the chain of holding the balls in the second quarter? After the two were paid against Neville Jetta and Dom Tyson, I laughed like an absolute madman when one was paid in our favour (to Nathan Jones). What a joke.
I was wondering why the Swans midfield were wearing green. Very odd.
Swans disposal was shocking (throws, tipping the ball out, scooping it to teammates, outright dropping the ball) but they were never penalized. And as for holding the ball... how do I get a seat near the umpires race?

PS. Is it Umpire Appreciation Round yet?
I *really* need to appreciate them.

I'm guessing I should have brought a pocket full of Matchbox cars to lob at Buddy.

Good luck to the young fella! This guy reminds me of Dusty Fletcher,
The article says "If you make a spoil, you can't be happy with yourself and think the play's over because he's like a 160cm midfielder."
This is good news because both T-Mac and myself both tower over Buddy.

Yup - Friday night - loved it. Enjoyed QOTSA but loved Nine Inch Nails.
Haha nice!
I was there Friday night too, missed 3/4 of QOTSA because there was a grass fire on the Hurstbrudge line, but I've seen them before and was really going for NIN, who were excellent.
Far out. I was there too. Great show. NIN were awesome.

Probably not, he's not great at paying attention to others.
I take it you disagree with the argument that a thread involving debate over whether we should have taken Hogan at all, and somehow morphing into the Wines-Toumpas issue is embarrassing?
If you embarrass easily then you probably have a tough time as a Melbourne supporter anyway.
Keep fighting champ, you will control all the discussion on this forum one day.
Right after you win the International Cat Herding Championships.

Glad I sorted that out for you.
Does Ben Hur know you're doing his shtick?

Another embarrassment of a thread.
We've got people saying we should trade Hogan. We've got people saying his career is over. And, for reasons that are lost on me, we've got people talking about Wines.
How delightful.
Phew.... I was worried we'd never know how you felt about this thread. Crisis averted.

He clarified that he was talking about this year. They are also holding out with something on Trengove and his foot later in the show.
Hopefully it's HD footage of Trengove applying said foot to Barrett's behind at high speed.

ahahah i admit, i am leading the hypocritical charge today on it, but what i saw today just made me sad.
i'm slightly drunk, sad that we could have won but didn't, and just sad that i don't think i can defend the boy mentioned above anymore.
But tomorrow is a new day, and i'll probably "believe" in Watts again.
All fair enough.
I always thought that Groundhog Day post captured the mood quite well.

Oh a new Jack Watts thread, let's see what people are talking about...

A few posts here have said Viney got 0 tackles today yet this example seems to contradict that?
Which brings me back to a thought I had earlier this week.
We generally accept the statistics presented on the web and in the paper etc to be a true account of what happened.
But who is to say that some stats (if not many) are not mistakenly attributed or missed completely by the statisticians.
I'm sure it's not a huge margin of error but this Viney example may be one of many.

I'm tipping we'll learn a bit about Paul Roos this quarter.

Are you talking Milton the Monster, they got the touch of tenderness, whoops too much!
Heebie and Jeebie. Fearless Fly. Good memories there.

I've decided that Basil Zempilas is the Play-Dough Bruce Mcaveney.
It's like they synthesised him in a lab, got the proportions slightly wrong and injected him with a near lethal dose of smarminess.

Yep. You're in Robot Hell...where (naturally) the Demons reign supreme for all eternity.
You'll suffer 'till the end of time,
enduring tortures; most of which rhyme
Trapped forever here in Robot Hell!

We might be on the back page of the HUN tomorrow unless Mick abuses a journo in his press conference.
Players smiling on the field
in Melbourne Demons

So how conflicted will some people on here be if Jesse Hogan smiles on the field whilst we are losing?
