Is this a serious comment ? Why would you get drafted to a Club & then not physically turn up & train with teamates, attend meetings, talk to coaches etc & play for the team. Name any other Club that lets their draftee stay interstate away from the team.

I actually find the comments accurate. Goodwin had a generational list & delivered 1 flag. Tigers & Lions with arguably worse lists delivered multiples. Lions had swags of injuries in 25 but still found a way. And his coaching was dreadful in 2017, 2019 & 2020. Biggest underachieving coach in recent history - but we can console ourselves with the learnings........and the lurve .

You may well be correct Binman but remember Clubs & players love to put a positive PR spin on injuries. Jake has to let the surgery heal then get his fitness back then find form. Doubt he can contribute in 2026 but would be happy to be proved wrong.

Well I did speak in detail to the surgeon about lis franc & he advised me that the injuries are nearly all similar & so is the surgery & recovery - ie repair of the ligaments holding the metatarsal bones in place. A bit like most ACL's are similar as is the recovery period.

Watched almost every game he has played including Casey ones. IMHO he needs to be much more physical & aggressive with his attack on the ball more like Hibberd or May if he is going to make it which I highly doubt.

This is exactly right. Apart from 3 or 4 games he was pretty poor this year, hesitant & often beaten. Should have been dropped but the selectors probably thought it a good investment to give him games he didn't deserve. On this year's form he wouldn't be in Freos team.
