  1. Listening to commentary on the replay when you know what’s about to happen is just so rewarding. Darcy and Richo saying at 3/4 time that we’ll bounce back next week against Port. I’m just sitting here like…
  2. For those of you wondering if watching the full replay is worth it. It is. Couple of take aways from the second time around: Kozzie looked on, and was very agile around stoppage. Lever was ridiculously good. Oliver is the player you want when the chips are down. Max was exceptional after half time. Tom Sparrow is a great mark for his size. Needs to work on his foot skills. Brown did what he needed to do. Spargo the same. Tmac and May will be better for the run. The big takeaway - Standing up in tackles is the way through a teams defence at stoppage. It’s frustrating to watch players get caught with the ball, but clearly both sides know to take the heat and draw players in so you can get them on the outside. I think this is why Viney is viewed as integral to our game plan.
  3. Do it. Honestly we were all over them but for 10 minutes. It’s a testament to our coaching quality that they could see beyond the emotion of the scoreboard and remind the players we were doing so well. It takes a skill I don’t have to watch football as it’s happening with that emotional intelligence. I suspect it’s why coaches love certain stats.
  4. Watching the replay now. That second quarter we were all over them and then a couple things went their way, and then they could do no wrong for 10 minutes. There was a VERY late holding the ball paid against ANB in the middle of the ground that really changed the momentum of the game.
  5. Just watched the last 2 minutes on the AFL site. It’s just the most poetic moment when Max kicks that goal. It was meant to be. Sport has lifted me higher than I ever thought possible on a day like today. I feel so grateful for the footy club.
  6. He’s really got back his ability to take the ball at its highest point, and he’s worked very hard on his defensive stuff and ground ball intensity. I think it’s a big credit to our fitness staff.
  7. ‘Paddy, just while I’ve got you, I’ve been wondering, and there’s been a bit of chatter online, but…ummm…what do you reckon… …Is Goodwin the right guy?’
  8. I was furious about Power winning last night, now I think it’s great. Footy 🤷‍♂️
  9. Jaded, he kicked it!!!!!!!
  10. I’m just so proud.
  11. Just makes it all the more impressive
  12. I love this club so much. I’m not crying. I swear.
  13. The ‘as he kicked’ push in the back is a disincentive for the team that gets pushed 🤷‍♂️
  14. That was holding the ball!!!!
  15. Great grab from Kozzie
  16. Should we pray for lightning?
  17. I want to see us out score them by 3 goals this quarter. Good way to highlight we need to fight harder against the big teams when they are on a roll.
  18. Yeah, what was that about? I actually hope his game gets highlighted in the media this week. He needs a rocket. Sloppy and not doing the team things.
  19. That umpire 26 absolutely hates us
  20. That free kick against Oliver for deliberate and then not for Selwood. Absolutely disgraceful
  21. Holding the ball no longer a rule
  22. So you don’t like TMac, Brayshaw, Harmes and Fritsch. Not many left Dazzle.
  23. And here I was thinking today couldn’t get any worse. They just got on one of those roles (the Hawkins off the ground, the Cameron on the line, the ball bouncing forward for them out of the centre). I just want our boys to show what they can do. We aren’t 7 goals worse than this mob. We just need to stick together and support each other, and play our style. Go the Dees!
  24. Love to know how many chains of play resulting in a goal have started for them with a free kick. Its been 10 to 3 since half way through the first
