WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JACK VINEY
Demon Forever replied to einstein251's topic in Melbourne Demons
Pick 4 for the Dawes. That's a [censored] for brains comment -
Herald sun reports "melbourne are not an option". Winning culture is a big part of it.. Sorry it was AFL.com http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/149026/default.aspx

not if saints use 12 or 13

Looking at the trading over the years to Melbourne, I notice that besides from Mitch Clark, we have basically not been able to get our hands on any prized trades. I note that last year it took Mark Neeld to fly up with his entourage to get it done. This year we have asked potential player candidates to migrate over without any luck. The way I see it and it is only an opinion, however MFC need a powerful negotiator. One that sends the fear of god through other teams spines. One that can broker a rippin deal and get the job done. One that can sell the MFC story and its dream. We cannot continue to pay big money for players as we will be in a similar boat to the Saints and where they find themselves with Goddard. Who is our Gubby Allen and where do we find him?

I don't get it! Why is this guy so special when "Hines" is head of recruiting at the filth?

We all thought we got it wrong, but did we really?
Demon Forever replied to Demon Forever's topic in Melbourne Demons
We are not to be a charity club whom gives games purely for being a good servant...this attitude is the reason we are where we are.. Admittedly junior could have stayed at the club, however not as a player. -
Has sculls polled

Good point - scratch "ALL" -
Looking back at it "delistings/retirements" did we get it wrong? My opinion is that we were spot on. Junior - didn't play much and has retired Green - retired this year Cameron Bruce - retired this year Did we really lose a lot by forcing the hand of those on the verge of ending their careers?
-
Was the word coming out of the team's flight to Sydney.

Jesus! Are you serious? Have you watched any Collingwood games of late? Clearly we will dismiss your last comment

Wouldn't count us out on Sharrod as we have what they want = Stef Martin

My list of delistings Bate Dunn Bennell reluctantly Spencer if we get Cloke/Grundy J Mc bartram Sellar All players above a mediocre at best and show no consistency. Rather have excited kids giving it their all over these guys. No disrespect intended, however if we want to climb the ladder we cannot continue to have passengers

He is an oxygen thief. Cannot play one on one and is the biggest culprit of pushing in the back. One trick pony! Next..............

Beams signs for 3 ... Cloke edges closer to Dees?
Demon Forever replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think you will find that MFC know what they want and now that Neeldy has a painted canvas he now knows what type of painting he is after. I don't believe we will get Cloke but rather look for another forward "cheaper option" and spend the money in the guts which is where we need it. To date the new management team has highlited what we all see which makes me comfortable in trusting them in doing what's right. Hence why there will be a large turnover. I think we all agree there is plenty of dead wood at our club. -

He has no idea. But you will see resignings happen again this week. I never thought he would go!!!!!!! I personally believe it will be Carlscum. Strong connections with a M.Malthouse should he take the reins. Although same can be said with the ex Filth officials we will have working for us both now and in the new year! keep your eyes on the last bit. -

Guys, have been advised that Cloke is gone...I doubted he would leave this whole time, but have been told to the contrary. Further collingwood resignings this week. Happy to take bets if you don't believe. Very very reliable source within the filth. -
Guys and Gals, I am still hearing that GC are entertaining MFC with the thought of having Caddy with a Bail and our last round one pick? Is anyone else hearing this? From what I have been told Melbourne are declining the offer as Bail is apparently not a tradeable player. Although some are leaning towards it more and more.... Does anyone know where Bail is from?

Fallure follows this bloke. I have said it for years

I'm hearing that is the strategy.

2012 Draft ... #3 Jack Viney, then pick 4 ??
Demon Forever replied to jurrahcane's topic in Melbourne Demons
Guys, I heard a rumour which I can neither confirm or dismiss about MFCs strategy in drafting. Apparently we have advised Viney and his management that if GWS or GCS select him and effectively try and force our hands we have a gentlemen agreement that he will avoid us ad join us a year later. Apparently the management group think this occurred to to us with Sully and want to repay the favour. I this would mean we select who we want and then do a deal to force Viney the following year. I has anyone heard of this..
