WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CAMERON PEDERSEN
Demon Forever replied to Hannibal's topic in Melbourne Demons
I sort of agree...but do you really rate Ray.. It could be that I just haven't paid enough attention to him but e ever stood out for me. I just think that we should have potentially targeted another run and carry player. Who? Buggered if I know. Lol -
The article says "He will undergo surgery on the shoulder this week and is expected to be ready for the start of pre-season." Dated August. When does our preseason start? I don't think he would be wearing a sling..trying to remember seeing him at the best and fairest.

Peterson becomes vary valuable with rotations and the ability to swing from defence, ruck and forward.. The likes of Ray are easier to find -
Good point...was it just a clean? If so, no it wouldn't be in a sling. Also can we confirm anywhere about if he went under?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - DAVID RODAN
Demon Forever replied to Demon Head's topic in Melbourne Demons
I hope your right! Does anyone know how much Davey is being paid? I know we went pretty hard when reconstructing him the last time. The obvious question is who would we get better value out of? Rodan on a $200k package Davey on maybe $500k -
Confidence is the word here - he gets bagged for the running away from the port ruckman internally to MFC and externally at other clubs.. Wasn't his greatest moment. We pile on the pressure for those who back out of a contest, this guy ran away like a kid in a school yard. Again I'm not having a go....but it's all perception and the perception in the greater football public is that he is easily intimidated.
-
Keep him, period! Too much upside and not enough of a chance to get himself right has been provided to eliminate him... Everyone rates him both internally and externally based on potential.. This is the trade I fear most of......this one may hurt us.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - DAVID RODAN

Based on what I have seen of Davey for the past 3 years I would have Rodan playing as a small forward -
Bingo - we have a winner Johhny

Time will tell...only passing it on for the benefit of Demonland. It is well and truly out there that Cale may be traded so I don't understand your pessimistic view. Like I said take it as you will. I'm only passing on what has been sent to me.. Relax To add to this, I'm not fussed if he stays or if he goes.. He has underperformed since his arrival for various reasons, however if he can get a solid run at a per season then I think he will show some signs.. This is not a personal attack on Cale from me whatsoever but rather an opinion based on running a business. After all this is exactly what it is. Nice guys aren't always successful, successful guys are.

David Rodan = great pick up if fit If not fit = bad decision But the way I see it if we can get him for pretty much nothing and on a one year term then it might be worth a shot. I must say everytime I saw him play for Port he was very evasive, got plenty of it and provided that polish that we have craved for for many years... No doubt we would run him thru a medical and have the knees tested...no one can question his endeavour. -
The picture is courtesy of a friend on holidays. Take it as you will or as I did.

I can confirm Cale is attempting to go to the Weagles Cale in Perth Asked how he was going, he replied "fingers crossed and see how we go."

Worst thread ever. Period!

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - DOMINIC BARRY
Demon Forever replied to fuchsia's topic in Melbourne Demons
Guys relax. We have been eyeing him off for a while. GWS didn't raise Dom with us. We raised it to them. Also go home factor does not exist here. He is educated and has good intellect. Someone mentioned his B&F. He had injuries and didn't play anywhere near a full season. His coach acted him as something he hadn't seen before. Massive compliments were given and we were advised that he could be anything. I also read above that he should have gone at #33. Hahahahaaaa under what assumption? The kid has been compared to by his coach as another Rioli but goes missing a little sometimes. Awareness, pressure, tackling and goal sense is amazing. He does not miss. Also the reason why Tom Mc and Rory mentioned to recruiters about him was the whole region knew of a young kid coming through that looked unbelievable. Take this with a grain of salt if you wish, but remember this post. The deal for Hogan could have been done for just pick 3, but considering our 13 would essentially be 14 because of the Goddard deal we saw it as a better option of getting it done and having pick 20 as well as Dom. Other recruiters had a sniff of him. -

Not only that but we believed that our pick would be pushed back another spot to 14 and we were eyeing off Dom Barry as he is touted to be very special. Didn't get a lot of exposure leading into the championships and the inside word is he is going to be special, very special. While we are all caught up on "the hulk" Dom is the hidden gem, not saying he is going to be better but he will surprise everyone. That comes directly from within our recruiting ranks. Also 20 gave us the ability to strategically get ourselves ready for Dawes. Will happen in the next day or so. -
We are playing the best game of Bluff that I have seen in years. It appears that you may have stumbled across it.

Don't read too much into caddys wishes. He either wants home or he stays. GC will do what's best for them
-
Like how? You seem to forget that we also want caddy. I really can't comprehend how we are getting bent over
-
Exactly
-
Really? So you think the following is better outcome? Pick 3 viney Pick 4 wines/o rourke or Grundy Pick 13 whoever you think Pick 26 a guess as to who is best available My way I think we come up trumps
