nothing I wrote above is wrong. Look he is a great runner and linkage player, but he is also greedy, cant kick, doesnt get a hardball and cant mark. Give me Rowell, Bont or 10 other midfilers before him anytime

Even if we got him for free I would pass. Cannot stand the guy and how he goes about it. Hearing commentators talk about him being the best player in the AFL (Vomit). Get a hardball instead of running out the back and picking up 15 possessions that way or taking the kick outs. I find it even funnier that the media believe his kicks are the best in the AFL (Give me a break - 48 disposal efficiency)

Farewell Clayton Oliver
All I will say here is I absolutely love Clarry the player however, if he has found the secret to getting his life together then he needs to label it, copyright it and sell it. For a player that was getting paid so much $$$$ and on a long term contract, the club had to draw the line in the sand. I am all for the trade to occur, but again it must be worthwhile for us. Not expecting overs but should GWS be interested, their first round draft pick or a decent player needs to be returned. I wish him all the best, but it is no coincidence that the drop off occurred after the premiership as the players "Celebrated" a little too hard. Some were able to return and cast their sites on the year ahead, some were not. I remember watching that following year and I am not sure if I am alone, but even though we had won 11 straight, it just didnt look and feel the same.

Farewell Christian Petracca
I actually dont mind jake Rogers in a deal but not with another pick to close it out. Rogers will be an extremely good player. Explosive, great kick, evasive and doesn't mind the hardball get. Still need another player on top though. Preference is BH at this stage however

Bailey Humphrey
That's what I had been told and what posted about many posts back. We have advised BH to push his case to be traded and we can step in. Regardless of what some say, there was no real conversation about money. It was about selling him the idea of being at our club etc. Dees won't discuss money until they know he is all in on getting out.

Tell me, If Trac gets to GC, where does Bailey Humphrey sit in their team position wise? Both play the same roles. He isn't kick out Rowell, Anderson or Touk. He is a midfield/forward. Same as Trac.

Bailey Humphrey
Spot on

Bailey Humphrey
Listen to BH comments about his future. "We will see what the future holds". He wants to come home and whether that is now or in a few years, he sure as hell isnt signing a contract extension with GC

I have a mate who's brother owns one of the biggest player agent agencies in Australia. They are simply their to stretch the $ as they are paid a percentage of the contract value.
-
Bailey Humphrey
correct. Ballpark would have been mentioned but not an exact amount to relay back to the player manager
-
Bailey Humphrey
It does when GC has the contract over his head. If push comes to shove, GC can hold him to the contract. Lets be honest, the winning club would pay him all around the same and his player manager would manage this for the winning team. He would hardly be losing Millions as you mention on a deal should he move. Cant answer that bit about flanders, I dont know!

You dont go for a job interview and talk money straight away, you go through the process and if it fits, you negotiate the pay at the end. No different! Melbourne know that if it becomes an auction, that is the last place we want it to go. Factors like many of the posts previously suggest leave us out in the cold. No Training ground, likely non finals team, exit of some stars etc.... We cannot be in a situation where his player manager is attempting to auction us off against other teams because we will lose.
-
Bailey Humphrey
you place a dollar figure on his head, it becomes an auction. We don't want that as we are leveraging Trac as part of the deal
-
Bailey Humphrey
Dees have advised him it would be a large uplift in $$$. Not prepared to talk money until a commitment is made to request a trade
-
Bailey Humphrey
not quite. Wont talk money until a commitment is made from BH to nominate us
-
Bailey Humphrey
wont happen then. Dees steadfast

Confident with the chats last week. Another meeting scheduled. MFC have told him that if he wants it to happen, he must drive it
-
Bailey Humphrey
I can see why you would say this, but what is the price for a premiership? With Trac it advances considerably. With Humphrey, it may be a bit longer. Dimma is in a hurry
-
Bailey Humphrey
Melbourne want Humphrey and a high end draft pick. Not worried about the $$$$, we just want Humphrey to come out and nominate us. I believe we will settle on a straight swap The argument is it places GC right in the premiership window and with one of the best midfields in the comp. It was suggested that with Trac coming in to the GC midfield, what would BH position be and hence the looking around at his options

Flanders is far from done. His PREFERRED destination is the Saints. It's up to the gold coast where he goes now. Same as Trac, we don't get the deal, we will look for a place that will give it to us. I haven't written this off yet If it's straight forward, it should get done on Monday. If it prolongs then you can bet that the suns are looking at us. There is a bit of hatted between the Saints and suns. #NEPO babies #draftconcessions #academies
