If they want to get tough on the players then the media ,the player agents ,the corporate sponsors the AFL admistrators, umpires and everyone else with AFL accreditation should be subject to the same tests and scrutiny. If the media were tested there would barely be anyone left to print the lies and make the mind numbing TV that the commercial stations deliver . Give them some official leave from the treadmill where they can do what they please as individuals .

I agree with everything furious has to say about players being spoilt, overpaid, disloyal etc. My money could be better spent feeding orphans or helping poverty. There is no'tipping point" for me with regards to who we draft or why . I simply like Garlett on exposed talent . Smoking pot ,drinking beer etc is something kids do (especially in WA) and it is a bit rich to ask someone to be100% professional when they are not professional yet (ie signed ). Buddy Franklin and this kid are no different in their behaviour from what I hear about Lance . I doubt we will get DG because Neeld is a total square but I can see him being a massive star and a money-spinner for the club that takes the risk . Great idea . Tapscott and Jetta will be waving the flag for us next year . The thing about Balls was that he was also an exceptionally good mark and kick as well as being fearless. He wasn't just a thug or a hitman . He had incredible anticipation that allowed him to hit a contest at full speed. and he was a beautiful looking young man when he wore his teeth .

Jordie Gys was a ball magnet and a fairly good tackler but didnt have the build to play AFL. He had a chance to grow some arms and shoulders but he chose not to use the facilities available and so wasted everyones time last year . Youth is wasted on the young . I wish him luck at Norf . Until he bulks up ,he will be lucky to get a game with the Vixens . Puny kids with lots of talent are really out of fashion atm.
