He had his foot out the door half way before his first season was over and requested a trade to Port. North could have held him to his contract but seemed both parties thought a split was better. North have done well out of the deal regardless with Sheezel and Wardlaw, who hasn't played yet. Wardlaw is an explosive mid who will be a gun, assuming he gets on the park (injury prone with hammy issues last year).

I don't condone the booing but slightly different circumstances to a regular trade. Horne-Francis essentially Tom Scullied North while they were on their knees and only saw out half of his rookie contract. Fair spit in the face of North fans who should rightfully be [censored] (I'm aware there are probable issues at North that contributed to him leaving). Why every other teams fans has joined the booing bandwagon is somewhat perplexing but probably relates to group-think/pack mentality.

Hopefully. There's another player in this scenario as well and that's GWS. Likely to finish bottom 4 and have another probable top 10 pick incoming thanks to the tigers which, unfortunately, gives them a far better starting hand than us.

Quite possible. They aren't afraid of taking Victorians though and if Reid is head and shoulder above every other prospect surely they just take him.
