Perfect set of results for us this week. Freo vs Sydney next week huge for our pick 4 prospects. -

Funny, reality is that he's religious and enjoys a red. -
Carltons going to replace the saints in the top 8 by the end of the h&a season.
-
Unlikely they drop out of the top 2 but I think the showdown could go either way and GWS may push them as well. Can see a dip in performance from them after 13 straight wins, teams can rarely sustain it.

Subbed out of the game now.

Walker stretchered off with a knee injury, possible dislocation. Take no joy in seeing players injured. Hope there's no structural damage and he doesnt have to spend long on the sidelines. -

Pick 5 probably. Walter (GC) will likely go top 2. Rogers and Read (both from GC academy) will be first rounders but most likely later half of top 10 onwards. No f/s prospect so far is being talked about as top 10 potential. Of course this can all change. -
That's probably a fair enough assessment and can't see him coming in this late in the season in the lead up to finals. I think he has the agility and iq to get by without speed, was also showing good defensive pressure at Casey in the last few games I saw. I agree though he certainly looks better when rotating through the midfield. Next year I'm hoping we will shake this team up a bit and give a good string of games to Howes, Laurie and Turner (only if warranted of course).
-
Tomlinson for Petty - get him fit Laurie for spargo Last swap won't happen and probably won't be popular here, but I rate this kid and reckon he has the tools to take and exceed spargos output as a half-forward. Been impacting at Casey, is excellent and creative by hands and rarely wastes it by foot.

We've beaten Pies and Lions while we lost to Port by 4 in a game we probably should have won. We're right in this premiership hunt.
-
6. Max 5. Petracca 4. Melksham 3. McVee 2. ANB 1. Viney Apologies to Lever and Rivers.
-
When was the last time a team got to 100 points first and lost the game?
-
We certainly had our low intensity de-loading phase in the second and third quarter 😅
-
Rivers huge in some final moments there. Thought it was ANBs best game this year despite some of his moments. Smith slotted in nicely in defence. He may have found a permanent spot as our sub with his versatility. Viney a beast. Petracca a star.
-
As frustrating as parts of that game where, I'm bloody proud of our team and the fight they showed. Great moment for Melksham.
-
Gotta give that handball Max, should have hit the scoreboard within the first minute
-
We should inject rivers into the middle. Hardly been seen after a dominant first quarter.
-
Games done. We aren't getting numbers to the ball and losing contests. Team doesn't look fit.
-
Lucky to be in this still
-
Petracca 7 goals in a game and a half. Frustrating game to watch, need to tighten up on the turnover. Would be nice to see JvR and Brown together in the forward rather than one or the other.

Makes sense now, ignore me and carry on everyone.

Big Pie out of Dockers clash, livewire misses training - https://www.afl.com.au/news/976892 "Cameron failed a fitness test at Gosch's Paddock on Thursday morning after.." Weren't we kicked off Gosch's because of the woman's world cup? Wtf are Collingwood allowed to train there?

“MELBOURNE father-son prospect Kalani White emerged among the standout youngsters during the recent national under-16s championships, enjoying a stellar carnival in Queensland last week. “White, whose father Jeff played 236 games for the Demons, has developed through a talented Suns Academy system and provided plenty of highlights in front of recruiters during a pair of matches on the Gold Coast. “The key-position prospect played at either end of the field throughout Gold Coast's campaign, kicking two goals against Sydney's Academy as a forward last Thursday where he demonstrated nice athleticism reminiscent of his 2004 All-Australian father.” Giant starts talks, rivals circle Bomber, clubs eye Dogs ruck

All for JvR coming back but a poster here said he was taken off at 3/4 time with some kind of knock ?corkie. With a quick turn-around he may not be ready. Not super keen on this, but if JvRs not right to go then perhaps Schache steps up as the next forward/ruck chop out.

That's ok, we can accommodate Max Holmes for them.
