A Day at the Races
I'm glad you do these collations Wadda as it reminds me to put on the multi with the help of the booster odds. As you know, Laddies give out a daily allowance of booster bets so it pays to take advantage from Friday into Saturday. Cheers

A Day at the Races
Randwick is currently a Heavy9 and they are hoping for a Heavy8 if there isn't any more rain ... but rain is forecast for Sydney tonight & tomorrow so it could be a real bog. Related - The talk emanating from Sydney is that they're quite keen to change a number of their racing dates to mid November up to early December where the weather is a lot more kinder. The Everest along with the 'Championships' held in April could move to the later dates. Top choice with Voodoo Lad Wadda ... loves the track and is in top form. Hutchy's top pick too.

I forgot you were a Packers fan Wadda ... we need a win so let's hope Rodgers can have a day-out. Lambeau helps a lot and the team will be smarting from recent performances. Hartnell I like too ... was ultra-impressive in the Epsom Hcp and I marked it at or near the top in the Toorak Hcp. Might do the double hey?

Gator has your horse as his best bet DZ along with 'The Autumn Sun' in the Guineas and he is in good form with his tips (as per usual) But I don't mind 'Oohood' getting into the finish in the Guineas and 'Native Soldier' could scoot away around the final turn as well. The Speed map for the race has Native Soldier settling 1st or 2nd. And Oohood has charged home to get into the finish in every one of its 10 races and it has run sharp times, every time.

You did well going 'local' last week Wadda and Germany have struggled of late - however, the Netherlands looked way overs to a point that it kinda put me off. So I ended up settling on Belgium & Spain. There are a number of 'Nordic' countries in action this weekend but DZ has already nominated Norway.

A Day at the Races
Racing at Cranbourne tonight as part of their carnival with the feature event being Race 7 - The Inglis Pinker Pinker Plate - worth $100k. It's not a bad betting race even though it's a small field. On Sunday they race in the Cranbourne Cup worth a cool $350k ... a good field assembled for the race too. But tomorrow's Caulfield meeting rivals Derby Day these days. And up at Randwick they've added the 'Kosciuszko' & the 'St Leger Stakes' to an already more than decent card. The heavy track may not suit a few in the Everest now so the race might be a little easier to dissect.

Most sports fans are the same - win and they're all-in. Lose and we often see the hate & anger. And the venting. However, we have been incredibly well rewarded with the Test side over the years in terms of absolute success so I can easily ride out the tough times. The Test side has been Hawthorn-like in actuality. We've been spoilt.

Yeah I've seen them all ... Thommo was superhuman live Wadda. I couldn't fathom how anyone could ever bowl that quick. Lillee was great. I was hooked earlier though. Win, lose or draw this has been a fantastic Test match ... by the way, I don''t care much for ODI's or T20's but I acknowledge the popularity of those versions of the sport. The Aussies will have another great era soon enough but right now, we're a long way away from having an A grade batting line-up. The bowling is more than decent when they're all available. 6 balls left with 2 wickets in hand. Tense!

Well we just lost 3 quick wickets so we'll do well to get out of this now Wadda. As for the ball tampering, none of those playing now were involved with that stuff. Coach is gone too. The reality is that I'm a real cricket fan - an absolute fanatic. Losing any Test match is like how many of us felt at half time of the preliminary final. I've probably watched a high proportion of all the deliveries in at least 400 tests involving Australia. That's about 12,000 hours - live. I can't get enough of it.

Best Bet Caulfield Race 3 No.1 Sunlight $3.10 The horse ran a blistering 44.80 over 800m in a trial on Monday whilst streeting her rivals so we may be seeing Sunlight return to her absolute best.

I bleed Green & Gold so ypu're talking to the wrong bloke Wadda!!! Ha ha. But it is no bother ... I'm just being transparent as you are. Betting against the cricket team is akin to betting against the Demons. I can't and won't do it. And we demand to see video evidence of those Cartwheels in Copenhagen!

There's way too much to cover in terms of finding the 5 best betting races this weekend ... a case could be made for at least a dozen good betting races at Caulfield & Randwick. I listed 16 very competitive races including a couple of listed races at Morphettville. And there are 7 newly imported horses contesting the Caulfield Stakes & the Herbert Power Stakes just to complicate matters further for the punters. Benbatl, The Cliffsofmoher & Blair House are the 3 to watch in the Caulfield Stakes. Racenet have done us the courtesy of rating the imports which is a real help. Smith & Warner are back in April next year or thereabouts ... Bancroft can play in January. We play 2 Tests against Sri Lanka in late Jan/early Feb. Put any bet up that you like Wadda but I'm barracking hard for the Aussies and could never bet against them ... ha ha ? The Test team is after all, my favourite sporting team along with the Demons.

I don't have any expectations with the Packers as I don't rate the team as being any better than a 7 or 8 win team this season. Anything above that will be a bonus. And we have a horror stretch of games coming up from week 8 onwards. I am a realist. I am way more interested in watching the league as a whole.
-
NFL
Yeah saw that ... it looked like he gave up on the play. The new ruling has got some of the defensive players 2nd guessing themselves. The Eagles/Vikings & Rams/Seahawks games lived up to their billing. Managed to watch both on redzone and they covered both games well. Lots of close matches again and we continue to see games going to overtime. SNF was good too although I'm not sure that either team are going to feature at the pointy end of the season.

Well we got Ajax & Lazio up and missed on 3 (including my 2 ?) ... the cricket is still ongoing. Any number of the good teams won in Europe whilst being involved in games where 3 or more goals were scored - Ajax, PSV, PSG, Man Utd, Arsenal, Dortmund, Chelsea, Milan, Inter, Sevilla, Leipzig, Rangers & Celtic. Just gotta get the right ones hey!

Watched 'Enable' win another l'Arc de Triomphe last night but she only just held on ... however, the win by Enable won't be enough to displace Winx as the World's best horse. Read more here ... NFL
Yeah ... stumbled across them by accident when googling for weekly previews. Not overly long too which is good - short & sharp for a quick overview. Your game is the pick of the bunch ... Vikes will be desperate for a win and the Eagles can't afford to drop another one. 2 good teams going at each other. 7.25am start. Rams @ Seattle on at the same time followed by Dallas @ Houston (SNF) That's some good NFL fare.

A Day at the Races
The Winx win yesterday may well have been one of her best when analysing the race ... the sectionals run by the horse were simply amazing, all things considered. Read more here ... Chris Waller: Winx closing sectionals in Turnbull Stakes 'as good as it gets' As 'Gator' pointed out on the racing review show on the racing channel this morning, 46 seconds for the last 800m is fast. It should be noted that 'Youngstar' ran 44.30 for the last 800m as well and seemed to rally when Winx ran past her. A definite Blackbooker.
