  1. You're kidding yourself, he's to slow to play AFL no tricks and would be well behind Pruess and Keilty. We need Small/Med Forward Outside mid HBF with run and decent disposal
  2. Loved it for about 10 years or so. Started to go down hill with stupid sketches like House of Bolger. Crawford was great with the breast cancer run, but giving him a pretty much permanent spot was when things really went bad, tried to hard to be funny when people like Dougie and Billy were just naturally funny
  3. A side that beat Sydney
  4. He's been a good addition in his first 2 years and done what he was brought to do. It's time
  5. When the chips are down and the news is bad the Village idiot never disappoints with an appearance on Demonland with his/her/it's hindsight input
  6. Used to drink in Summerhill at "The Hill" when I had Tech at Mountjoy Square or if I managed to get in early enough heading to Croke Park
  7. Where are you from, I moved here when I was 8 and started following the Dees then before Sean and Jimmy came over. went back twice with my folks in the mid 80s and in the 90s by myself. I'm from Tallaght but also lived in Crumlin
  8. Dubdee I've been a cop since 1996 I know exactly how much violence there is now days. I also remember the 80s and violence but I was only young in the 70s. When you stepped out of line you got a clip, you respected your elders, authority and we didn't carry on like that at the footy. On another note are you a Dub?
  9. Unfortunately Nasher in this day and age you have to point that out
  10. I can't believe some responses on here. Hawks supporter is visibly disabled so there is no mistaking the fact. Disgraceful behaviour by the Demons fan. No matter what may be going on in his personal life I don't care what was said or done to him it's a mitigating circumstance not an excuse for his actions. And if you are on Demonland you need to know you are a coward
  11. 6.Harmes 5.Hibberd 4. Gawn. 3. Salem 2. Clarrie 1. Lockhart
  12. Love him and everything he's brought to us been a champion of the game and an asset to the Dees but he's almost done
  13. me and you Wyl was at Ammos watching it on the hill couldn't take much more with about 4 mins to go
  14. A month, we couldn't do it for a week
  15. I see we have a new troll, FFS some people live boring lives. Enjoy your day @Drunkn167 hope it's memorable for Dec, you and all the family. Cmon Dees
  16. Back ourselves to improve and trade 2020 first round pick
  17. Good luck to Dec tomorrow for Dec great thrill for Drunkn and all the family
  18. Ffs do you need him to tell you we're underdone Off season Ops which along with the new AFLPA Christmas break rule hampered continuity for training Impacting our fitness levels across almost half the list Poor start to the season has effected any semblance of confidence players may have had Or would you prefer he wrote a fairytale and told you it was all because a) we still have players on our list who were part of 186 b) a curse from 1965 when we sacked Norm Smith
  19. It's easy to top up when you've got a nucleus. We'll see how good Gragam Wright is building from scratch, bringing O'meara, Mitchell and others in will keep them in finals contention nothing else
  20. Well if it's not Pert it must be the curse. ???? You know several Demonlanders need someone to blame
  21. Hawks built their nucleus for their flags by absolutely nailing 2 drafts and then just topped up from 2010 onwards when the expansion clubs came in 2001 - Hodge, Mitchell, Ladson, Brown 2004 - Roughie, Franklin, Lewis, Taylor Cats did the same in 2 drafts 1999 - Corey, Chapman, Ling Enright 2001 - Bartel, Kelly, Stevie J, Ablett,
  22. Yeah those risks they took on Dayle Garlett second time around, Beau Muston after his car crash really worked out. Ffs they've picked up plenty of duds along the way as have other clubs. We're not exclusive here
  23. Curses are for people looking for excuses, and dare I say also people who blame umpires for losses and Mission for every game day injury The reasons are nothing to do with any curses but a number of factors many self inflicted others just poor timing or decisions Poor zone been covered by others but we didn't exactly have a conveyor belt of recruits coming through in the 70s Poor culture the old boys club off field who didn't move with the times in the changing game of the 70/80s Bottoming out when TV was about to have a massive influence The above set the tone for missing a generation of new supporters in the 70s and 80s Timing 1988 & 2000 running into 2 absolute juggernauts in the GF, Hawks of 88 were some side and we overachieved getting there. 2000 bit like 1987 put a strong run together in the backend of the year only to run into a dominant side set on redemption having fallen foul to complacency to the Blues in 99. They were never slipping up here Poor drafting - the drafting overall in the early noughties had a big effect which we are still recovering from with Jones a lone warrior survivor from that period. From 2012 onwards we are on par with most clubs with hits and misses each year but the Strauss, Maric, Blease draft was a killer. Molan was just an unforseen bust and our timing of getting it wrong with the expansion sides coming in was another blow Poor decisions with Olympic park when first offered is another in the list from previous boards which impacted our club greatly
  24. Coniglio will be 1 of these 3 next season A. Giant B. Docker C. Blue
  25. I hear you wouldn't like to trade him but Cerra is a good kid and Langdon is developing his disposal which along with his running power will push his price up
