Empathy is a virtue.

Sounds like Rick has run out of nose beer.

To be brutally frank, I would rather we keep Mitch Brown in that instance. More mobile and better football smarts.
-
Yes. And he can turn it over by foot, poor decisions and getting run down.

Wait..... what? the club gave him a big juicy contract based on his 2018 exploits and he’s failed to back them up! I understand this is the risk in any contractual arrangement but players should take more of this burden on for the good of the club and definitely be open to restructuring of contracts if they underperform over subsequent years. This isn’t a blip. Tom fell off a cliff after the club rewarded him very handsomely.

Fremantle has some logic attached to it now Hogan has been jettisoned. Coin around the same mark and they clearly have a need for a KP player. Smokey?

Great post mate and @Ron Burgundy made some very concise observations with regards to teams and their obvious dynamics. Most high performing organisations don’t fly by the seat of their pants and leave it up to an individual’s philosophy (such as the coach) to gauge who fits in and who doesn’t. However an overarching set of philosophies should be a major driver in setting the direction of your team members and arriving at the subsequent ‘desired’ cultural environment. The guidelines that individuals are therefore set out for them to adhere to and it’s up the organisation to hold them to account in a fair and just way. In Hogan’s case, I can only assume he’s had ample opportunities to operate within these ‘guidelines’ and for one reason or another he just can’t bring it all together - illness and tragedies aside. We all know and have seen the potential but it all comes back Ron’s point earlier on... just how much time and effort can you put into someone who can’t be that motivated team person that so desperately needs to do the right thing by his teammates for the club to be successful? That's when the individualism factor falls away from the conversation.

Oskar Baker pleased by this.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN

If that’s the case then Tmac should just EFT half his contract to Oliver’s account immediately! -
Surely Ned Guys head will be on the chopping block? It has been a bit of a disaster there since he’s crossed over from player manager to list boss. Board been asleep at the wheel and maybe too focused on premiership tilts with little regard for sustainability?

I’ve got a few different mentors across Australia. Ever heard of a phone? A ten minute call for some feedback over a particular issue or concern can do wonders.

It was trying to allude to the common perception that Jon Ralph hardly has anything ground-breaking and it would probably be a nothing article. I'm glad it gave a few a laugh. We clearly don't share the same sense of humour but I didn't set out to offend you. -

"Essendon now thinking about targeting brown according to jon Ralph" -
So what's the status? Confirmation of Goodwin and Yze with the rest up in the air or already terminated?

I don’t know why you’re getting so cut up about Brown possibly coming to us. If Tmac goes and we get another year of development into Jackson then Weideman and Brown can easily be the two main talls. -

Short answer. ICGAF.

I’ll freely admit to not knowing in detail how TPP and caps etc work but if GWS don’t have to spend on Cameron then they pay Tmacs contract should he end up there. If we don’t have to pay Tmacs contract, we have enough cap to throw at Polec and Brown?

Yeah, Jesse is about 15 years too late to that party.

I heard the Dockers have been managing (for some time) the amount of games he got to play in so he was unable to meet the KPI’s linked to both remuneration and contract extension triggers. Essentially performance managing him out the door.

Is that true? That's even funnier.
