  1. I was thinking why don’t we just look at Nissan but upon a quick search see that the Hawks have just done that. http://www.nissan.com.au/discover/news/2018/december/10/nissan-joins-the-happy-team-at-hawthorn
  2. It’s becoming all too common mate but that’s nothing. I lived and worked in Zambia and DRC in Africa for about six years and I can tell you that they value life a lot less than us westerners. Some of the traffic accidents over there are horrific but rather than stopping to lend a hand, the local first responders steal what they can from people who are dying. Shoes are the most common for obvious reasons in truly horrific cases.
  3. It’s been common knowledge that the Suns medical team capabilities and rehab programs were far from effective. Take the knee issues O’meara, Prestia, Swallow and Lynch for example. All but Swallow has pulled the pin on the place which I found surprising but not so much surprising now that his older brother is part of the Suns FD. Hall rubbished the place soon after he got to North and IIRC made special mention of their inability to rehab the players properly. KK is another prime example of the Suns injury mismanagement given the final identification of the root cause took them eons to discover. Professional players look for success, get home sick or get fed up with being injured and not properly rehabbed. This is why I’m particularly confident that KK will be a fantastic inclusion to the team and a lock for Round 1.
  4. I’m keen to answer this for you but will wait with anticipation for a more precise breakdown.
  5. If we were still basket-case level of shyteness circa 2013/14 then I doubt the Wiz would be so effusive of his son coming to the MFC.
  6. Yeah....... time to switch off the lights and sweep the floors in here and farewell the farewell.
  7. Ha. Thought this as well....
  8. So, is the issue that AAMI park is too congested with the other codes teams also utilising the facilities? Why are we the only club looking to vacate? Why can’t the other codes look to relocate? Then we just pay extra for the increased amount of administrative buildings we use.
  9. Considering old man Brayshaw confirmed it himself, you should probably look to climb down off that high horse.
  10. He’s always had a moon-face. I’d be shocked if he coasted away while on leave knowing he had new teammates and coaches to impresss.
  11. Thanks dc. My research methods need some improvements. ?
  12. King Gee workwear logo on the run-out shirt as per the video? Gala day
  13. It’ll be disappointing if Hogan gets booed but there are less enlightened and intelligent supporters that are sure to.
  14. Top 4, a double chance and home finals. We made a prelim so the next pass mark is to make it to the big dance.
  15. Still not as bad as the Super Amart logo on the Bombers jumper.
  16. Either that or let SWYL takeover your account for a few hours.
  17. They’re the vacant jumpers as well so don’t read too much into sponsorships.
  18. Unfortunately we’re now all conditioned to and can’t wait for the regular season to kick off end of March. I can’t imagine how I’d cope if I had to wait another 4 weeks. It’d take some getting used to.
  19. $1 million per game? Wow. I can recall a figure of around the $400k mark for some reason and that was a few years ago. What sort of gate would we get from a blockbuster home game at the G?
  20. Niall and the rest of them can analyse the [censored] out of fixtures. It earns them a salary. However, this competition will only be fair and just when each of the 18 clubs plays each other once, in order to qualify for the finals program - whatever that might turn out to be. Until then, the fixture is flawed and a money making venture more than it is a reflection of last years clubs performance. As noted by others, if we continue our upward projection we should be a strong contender for the flag no matter what the fixture deals out. The commercial side of it is great and a very important variable in club success so it’s pleasing to see the potential in that for season 2019. We need to perform for it to come into fruition however.
  21. The big freeze is synonymous with the QB game. It's a stand alone game on a Public holiday so anyone can attend. I can understand the sentiment with Essendon but that in itself would have to become another separate 'blockbuster' game they're involved in on top of Anzac day and dreamtime games. It's currently a moving target and trying to find another date/PH for a stand alone will be difficult for the AFL. I very much doubt it will change.
  22. Yep and that little anomaly of copping the Wednesday evening Anzac game will happen every 6 or 7 years. I guess the fair and reasonable thing would be to fixture our game on the Thursday or Friday but they've awarded that to Pies and Bombers.
