  1. I can’t remember the trade, but I think that is Phil Davis.
  2. True but even a good stack off a ski can be bad if the ski digs as you’re going over.
  3. I’m an avid slalom water skier and was surprised to hear of Wines injury considering he’s such a big strong bloke. If his shoulder popped out from a normal slalom pass, the kid is going to have issues for the rest of his career you’d think.
  4. I’m thinking it’ll be co-captains again this year. The idea of Viney as sole captain next year is logical but I wouldn’t be surprised if Max is elevated to sit beside Viney and co-captain model continued. My group: CC: Viney/Jones VC: Gawn Others: Tmac, May, Vanders, Jetta. I believe May is a logical choice for the back half with the removal of Lewis. Jetta is just too inspirational to ignore any longer and I love Vandenberg setting the tone with crunching forward half tackles and hard bumps to help get the team up when needed.
  5. Could be related to the knee scope he had which Misson referred to the other day. Fingers crossed it’s nothing major.
  6. Who’s the person in the middle giving a pair of two fingers?
  7. I have no idea what your first paragraph is about but entirely agree with the second.
  8. To give credit to the photographer, if anyone on here is a Facebook user, this lady is a volunteer photographer for the AFL and captured some fantastic shots (over 250) of the boys last Friday. Here’s a link to her page.
  9. Early 20’s and cashed up doing FIFO. Probably 80% of their clientele.
  10. I believe so. Used to frequent there back in the late 90’s. Got kicked out of the aptly named place just as much too.
  11. He’s a player. You can be a flash in the pan and get on the end of a few every now and then but, that EF against Geelong, he showed he has all the tricks a great key forward needs to have. Strong marks. Crunching tackles. Repeat efforts. Well timed bumps (Dangerflog) Sweet kicking action. Etc. As long he stays fit and has great pre-season, I’m confident the Weid will be even more valuable than Hogan.
  12. This can only be good. I think.
  13. He’s long dead.
  14. BMI is a rather useless measurement for mesomorphic and beefy athletes. It’s probably why skin folds is the main metric players are measured by.
  15. Whose that Vulcan he’s kissing?
  16. If you’ve played competitive footy, you will have a fair inkling that AVB is the sort of bloke you know as opposition that the contest in general is going to brutal and most likely hurt yourself in the end. He’s the sort of grunt and mongrel that Roos and Goodwin have built the list by and which ultimately we hope to have the edge in when we go deep in September. I’m very pleased we didn’t lose him to Sydney because his value is measured in more than just meat and potatoes. I hope to see him feature quite a bit this year.
  17. Oh my, I do like that first one. ?
  18. I spent six years in Zambia, DRC and South Africa in the early noughties. Back then it was the ‘Toyota AFL highlights’ on DSTV which was essentially two to three weeks delayed telecast of the round/s. Most of the time, this was preferable over the dial up internet in 3rd wold ‘Efrica’. Best thing as to have your own pill on hand and hunt down other Aussie expats who enjoyed a kick.
  19. I’m in Perth.
  20. The lessons in complacencies have been smattered across the last couple of seasons. You would’ve thought the Collingwood disaster in the final round of 2017 was a huge enough lesson but we continued dropping games against the likes of the Saints, Geelong and Sydney when we should’ve won and the awful spanking from the Hawks. I feel as though the group fully realised the stakes at play when we rolled the Eagles here in Perth last year to book our finals seat. Our blitzing streak right through to the Preliminary final was from a team that was determined to win but ultimately met a team that was even more hell bent on winning and the same team that kicked off our streak. To me, the prelim lesson was the one that will set us up for a real crack at a flag. A fit Lever, the addition of May and a break out season from Weideman will have us fully loaded.
  21. Thanks for the training fix guys.
  22. A quick peruse of the Hawks bigfooty page tells you that they think they have no depth. Their best player down and they’re calling it ‘season over’ already.
  23. Terrible for the young bloke. On the other hand, Hawthorn can eat a .....
