Official New Rule Changes for 2019
50m penalties The player with the ball: Must be allowed to advance the mark by 50m without the infringing player delaying the game. Will be able to play on while the 50m penalty is being measured out. How are supposed to watch your opponent while the 50 is being measured out.... we are going to see the defending player running backwards like a bloody umpire.

Runners and water carriers Team runners may only enter the playing surface after a goal has been kicked and must exit before play restarts. Water carriers are not permitted to enter the playing surface during live play. you watch someone collapse from heatstroke in the Darwin game now. Sues afl for workplace safety breaches, we all giggle.

Official New Rule Changes for 2019
Umpire contact Players will be prohibited from setting up behind the umpire at centre bounces. How do you suppose they police that one????? Marks and free kicks in defence When defenders mark or receive a free kick within nine metres of their own goal, the man on the mark will be brought in line with the top of the goalsquare. confusing and pointless. Marking contests The 'hands in the back’ rule interpretation has been repealed so a player can now: Place his hands on the back of his opponent to protect his position in a marking contest PROVIDED he does not push his opponent in the back. yet another one that will be difficult for the umpires to police, what constitutes a push ( as soon as I felt hands on my back I would lurch forward as I had been pushed.) Ruck contests: prior opportunity A ruckman who takes direct possession of the ball from a bounce, throw-up or boundary throw-in will no longer be regarded as having had prior opportunity. Where there is uncertainty over who is the designated ruckman, the ruckman for each team will still be required to nominate to the field umpire. And if your ruckman is off the ground???????>

Official New Rule Changes for 2019
I can't believe they left the ruck rules the same. everyone knows how to fix it, and probably one of the few that has almost complete consensus..... also surprised the left interchange the same (I don't mind it but I am surprised.)

50m penalties The player with the ball: Must be allowed to advance the mark by 50m without the infringing player delaying the game. Will be able to play on while the 50m penalty is being measured out. that is a [censored] rule, will cause all kinds of problems and will slow the game down as you will have to closely watch the player with the penalty as he is running his 50. so, they are keeping the [censored] sliding rule as well. (remember that crap where brayshaw got penalized for getting kicked in the head - and not fixing the 3rd man up rubbish (so simple, 2 go up, if a third goes up, penalize...

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I feel pick 5 would have been overs, but if we had 6 as well i would be more comfortable in paying them overs. Not sure why,but anwyay...
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
what if we told Kent, it is Gold Coast or nowhere???? (Part of the pick 11 + May trade)
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
I still think Gold Coast will take 11 + sweeteners (player or 2nd round pick.)
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
Yes, because we would feel comfortable giving pick 5 if we still have 6 not if we have some pick 11 or later
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
we should flood SEN with texts telling McClure he is a complete Dingbat.
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
5 for may would blow goats, but 11, 36 (our first pick) and sweeteners in a bundle deal (that includes KK) is what we need to get done
