NON-MFC: Round 03
Young has created about 30% of their play off HB / and middle yet no one appears to have gone to him all night. Terrible coaching

How bad are the Crows with ball in hand. Imagine O'brien replacing your windscreen. 3 days later... "Hello sir, your vehicle is ready"

Clear push.... 4 umps but no one makes the call. If that was a backman the whistle would be at the ready and they'd ping him straight away

Wow the Crows are as bad as we used to be with their entries inside 50 and conversion Having said that they just kicked their first in a while. The goal ump called that "touched a behind" !!!? WTF it was more than a foot over

Harrison Petty
No thanks DG. Had a few good games early on but very injury prone and too soft for mine.

Harrison Petty
Now that's a great post It also means the Crows (or whoever) haven't got him any earlier. Bit of insurance

NON-MFC: Round 03
4 umpires yet players are still alowed to run over the actual mark and set their own mark. They must be seeing it but just keep yelling "Stand" Yet another jokefest on display from the AFL

NON-MFC: Round 03
The Blues look VG but don't face anyone serious until Rnd 6 vs GWS. Even then that's at home at Marvel. The following week they play the Cats... but get another out. Not having to go to Taxpayer Park (again) and instead playing at a neutral venue (the G) Since 1990 the Blues have only played at Taxpayer Park 6 times. When looking at teams that have played the least number of games there, the Blues are ranked 3rd. Just behind the Bombers (5). With our old lovelies the Maggotpies sitting in the No.1 spot. The last time the Maggotpies played there was during the last millennium... 1999

Jack Viney 200 Games
Man of steel. As Adzman said above, pound for pound he'd have to be up there with the toughest in the league over many seasons now. When you get up close he's not a big fella by any means but the bod is all muscle and ripped. The amount of work required to upkeep that... wow! I'm sure he was duly lead by the Jones boy (among others) who laid down the foundations of what's required to play at the highest level... and consistently at that. He constantly lets his footy do the talking. A great leader by example. I see traits of Viney coming through in the likes of Sparrow at times (when playing through the middle). Hats off to you Vins. I salute you...one of the all time greats of the mighty Demons 👏🏼💪🏼🍻

TRAINING: Monday 25th March, 2024
I'm guessing a Caps run at Casey in the morning Mono but don't hold me to that. Before flying out afterwards.

Bloody awesome WCW. I see he even signed off as Smacca!

Training Ground?
A big part of this is how you promote & try to connect / involve and win over the stake holders surely? I'd be very dissapointed if we hadn't already realised this as part of the proposal / plan and aren't already implementing some sort of PR / diplomacy and marketing program to do just that.

Port Adelaide bus trip?
They didnt move till 82 MD but yeh it might have been a tad earlier. Possibly between 82 to 84

Port Adelaide bus trip?
Have they changed much? I could tell you about a bus trip to Sydney in the late 80s organised by the cheer squad but it would most likely be my last post on DL

Laurie Extends for 2 More Years
Shown glimpses at Casey in some games. A few very good ones Hasn't really hit any heights on a consistent basis there though (so far). Showed a few signs (with hands) at senior level against the Swans in the opening round but outside of that didn't do enough in general and was subbed out with 42% game time for Billings. 5 other senior appearances (including subbed into the Qualifying against the Pies) with little to no impact imv and couldn't retain his spot. Other than quick hands in congestion i just don't see any stand out weapons that sees him pushing out someone else (similar) at senior level in the near to medium term. That's not to say he won't make it. Some players just take longer and he might become a special player. But why not just play him through to seasons end at Casey with the occasional foray into seniors (if earned). See how he goes and revisit the contract then. Too soon to re-sign for mine.

PREGAME: Rd 03 vs Port Adelaide
Tommo in with Marty as sub maybe Much will obviously depend on whether Lever gets up or not. If he doesn't i suspect the FD would want to keep Marty in for his ability to play tall and the intercepting. That might result in Marty in and Tommo as sub. Petty being trained as a defender might suggest that Tommo probably won't make the cut (sub at best) and we're happy to just play the two talls in BBB & Roo until May returns.

PREGAME: Rd 03 vs Port Adelaide
The value Benny brings here shouldn't be underestimated. He makes the opp potentially have to play an extra tall defender they may not want to, instead maybe wanting to place that tall on a mis-match with Roo (or Petty now he's back) seeking an advantage. Yes they may already intend to play that tall in the side regardless but having BB in still draws him away from a Petty or Roo. And if the oppo doesn't have the taller defender options a la the Bulldogs, he ends up drawing the odd free closer to the sticks at times which often result in a bonus 6 points here and there. Then there's his ability to get the ball to the ground for the smalls as mentioned. And his occasional foray up the ground for the odd mark down the line or at HB. Let's hope we continue to see him often going forward. Absolutely. He brings an intangible joy that must rub off on the rest of the group. Gotta love big Benny when he's up & about.
