  1. Yep got 5 sets so i can stand him on his own shoulders for an Andre the giant version
  2. Very sad to hear. My first recollection of going to the G and watching the Demons in 1971 was Greg walking out on the field to take his place at CHF. Couldn't miss his blonde locks but what always stuck in my mind as an eight YO at the time was the ciggy in hand, having a few puffs then butting it out not long before the ball was bounced! The other names that stuck in my young head around this time included Ross Dillon, Greg Wells, Stan Alves, Gary Hardeman, John Tilbrook (big wraps from my big brother was like the coming of the messiah!), Townsend, Crackers Keenan (i seriously thought he was a mad man and wondered how someone like this was allowed to play), Ray Biffin (not far off Crackers!), Barry Bourke, Tony Sullivan and Graham Molloy. What also stuck in my head at the time was that our supporter base was pretty darn big, to the point that we had two lots of cheer squads. A large one that hung around the Punt Rd boundary (forward pocket i think) and another up in the top tier of the southern stand. Vale Greg may you R.I.P. What a pitty he didn't get to see us win this. Or maybe he did!
  3. Was a key "missing link". I always felt we weren't far off a GF, just needed to fill a few gaps including a KTF like a Cameron. Benny proved to be as handy and did the job required to aplomb. Mind you the extra mid-season pre-seaaon seemed to help! Looking forward to seeing how he goes next year with no pre-seaaon interruptions. He makes for a very difficult match up for opponents. Conversion % is super good also making the most of opportunities.
  4. Yes same 😅 Some amazing pictures in this. The special edition with yesterday's HUN isn't bad either
  5. Thanks mate I'll head over at some point
  6. Thanks Joe do you sell the frames on their own at all or only do the framing?
  7. Half way through the post match again. Can't get enough of the post match stuff & the joy on everyone's faces, plus the interviews 😁
  8. It's up there with one of my favourite moments from the match. Young Dogga chasing him down with the the broadest of grins while cool hand Clarry continues on to the next rompa stompa through the middle. The other was Harmes stealing the ball from a bewildered Bailey Smith just outside the arc, bursting free of the pack and hitting up Fritschkreig with a beautiful raking kick lace out for the 1st come back goal after Bont had put them 19 points up. This is etched in my memory and will remain with me as one of the greatest moments in MFC folklore. As if my man crush on Harmes wasn't big enough already! What a legend.
  9. Also wondering if this is part of the rules 56... no more than 18 on the ground until play is officially over ie; after the goal ump and field ump had given the all clear??
  10. Think you had to register by midnight Weds Beetle
  11. Got duped....they opened the registration page well before the 10am opening we were told on the email. Would have sold out in minutes well prior to this. Should've jumped in earlier....whatever time that was 😓 Update....wrong...it opened a few minutes after 10. That was close!!
  12. Sometime during the third re-run after one too many Captain Morgans
  13. Remember to pick up you Hun bumper sticker....
  14. Police escort via Portsea pub for a Hair of The Dog
  15. My guess would be a half time change over for these Mickey so both bases were covered
  16. Got a PS3, 4 or 5 Cards?
  17. 100% old55. I liked how the bench/rest of the team didn't run on either till after he'd kicked it.
  18. Grand Final Premiership Edition, 2021 Optus Stadium - Demons vs Bulldogs Can you believe it! Don't wake me up folks as i'm still in some fantasy wizard of oz land somewhere on earth where i am dreaming that we won the 2021 Premiership thrashing the 2nd best team of the year and where we beat all comers in the lead up finals. In this dream Tracc had a day out, scoring his highest rating for the season (and 2nd best score of any player for the year only behind that of Clarry's 8.40 in Rnd 10 against the Crows) while winning the Norm Smith Medal. The team also scored it's 3rd highest team score for the season. Only bettered in Rnd 2 vs the Saints (70.33) and Rnd 6 vs The Tigers (71.93) Also our best 'Top 6 Rated Players' score for the year!! Out of interest the Team Score was also the exact same average team score we produced in season 2018's home & away (69.50) We're back baby....the Mighty Demons are finally back! May the dream continue (FD you got your wish!) 19. The Sparrow coming up on SEN soonish
  20. Sparrow played very very well throughout the match i thought and showed maturity beyond his age / experience. Imposed himself on many contests and boy does he bang in when it's his turn. The goal off a few steps amongst 4 Doggies from 50ish in the 3rd. The kick to Brown in the last. Some great in close ball work & sharing of the pill etc. I left him out when i mentioned the magic mid field crew of Max, Dogga, Clarry, Tracc & Viney. My bad. He had one crazy good finals series given his lack of experience. Bowey also of course.
  21. He has always upped the ante in most of the big games, especially finals, when fully fit. When you watch the 2018 finals series he was one of the most prominent and dynamic players in the first two. When finals are up you can count on Jack. His only issue has been fitness and flowing from that his ability to bring the agility / sidestep off the line to get into space vs running straight ahead like a battering ram when he wasn't quite at the peak. Personally i think the OP is way off the mark here. Injury the main reason for the off times IMV. You get Clarry, Tracc, Viney and Harmes at their peak. Add an in form Maxy & Dogga into the mix and look what happens.
  22. Well said... had his issues in H&A but certainly stood up and chipped in on the big stage. Was part of the new age step up of players along with Hibbo, Crossy and Vince with each playing a part in the change of culture for the better.
  23. ..."That's Some Forward Craft Fritta Boy!"
