WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER
This is a very good point re goal kicking = most popular "best player" stakes in the media and with many of the fans. While i have no doubts Clarry loves to kick a goal (who doesn't!) i reckon he knows his limitations here. Yeh, he'll happily attempt it when possible, but he is just as happy destroying his opponents around the contest, putting on the after burners and/or sharing the the Sherrin with his team mates to better the "Team" overall vs lookng to achieve more individual efforts including hitting the scoreboard. Having said that i would like to see him improve his goal kicking (in play & from set shots) and take some more shots at times when he knows he's within range (for the betterment of the team... bit of icing on the cake!)

2022 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Wardlaw seems to have earned the No.1 ....a little under sized for the big league? Don't mind Harry Lemmey's highlights but of course you need to see alot more than a highlights reel. Appears to have some decent decision making/ finishing skills at an early stage and might be still growing! Not that we have a chance with any of the top 20 guys of course.

Some putting Viney straight back in .... thought it was mentioned somewhere within the club (was it the injury report?) he was a two to three week prospect?

POSTGAME: Rd 10 vs North Melbourne
The Demon army were using the "Narrm Army" chant. I also heard the chant "Naaaarrm" going around towards the end of the final quarter once we were well in front.

NON-MFC: Round 10, 2022
I love this move from Mitchell. Hey it may not be a long term option or very effective other than as a one off surprise tactic but i'm almost certain the Brisbane brains trust wouldn't have covered this in their pre-game analysis and strats. And who knows. You just never know what the outcome will be with a move like this until you trial it. Unlikely i know but Frosty might have missed his calling and this might become a permanent option if it works well enough.

POSTGAME: Rd 10 vs North Melbourne
From 40 plus out though CYB? Sparrow maybe but doesn't get many opportunities as he isn't playing as a genuine forward. Fritta from 40 plus .... meh. BBB on a good day but then goes missing sometimes like yesterday. Plugga Mac not a young fella. Still think we need a big tall marking forward who can roost them from 40 plus and doesnt struggle with the extra distance (from 2023).

POSTGAME: Rd 10 vs North Melbourne
Aside from Plugga Mac & Kozzie within about 30 to 35 meters we really lack a natural penatrating accurate kicker from about 45 meters. All other forwards, even part time drifters like Tracc, are very dodgy in front of goal. Jackson probably the best of the drifters within about 40 meters. Is there anyone else you would trust on this list from about 40 to 45 out and just beyond? Maybe Max when he's on? It's our biggest weakness IMV and something we need to trade in for 2023.

CHANGES: Rd 11 vs Fremantle
No way Deakin or the others come in unless we are bare bones from injury. Baker about the only possible outside chance for Melk or Lingers but ONLY if he hits career best form in the McGoos. Even then i doubt it as Melk appears to be Goody's annointed one for the foreseeable future but might come in for Lingers.

My 3 word player analysis v Nth Melbourne
Plays from behind far too often for mine. Needs to work harder (Earlier!!) to get front position and keep it. Plugga Mac, while no super star forward, works his [censored] off in this regard and sometimes gets rewarded for it. A few examples of this during the game tonight. Agree he should have kicked somewhere between two to four goals (minimum) tonight given the amount of entries.

Petracca’s goalkicking
Very good point here Dockett
