Reckon he will/could cement this spot if given enough of an apprenticeship there DF. For someone who's played most of his career as a defender you can't expect instant success with a 180 positional change like this. Training it is one thing. Applying what's learned 'in-game' along with others also playing their new role (new as they havent't played alongside Petty before) must be a real challenge for all. There's also the craft of playing as a KF vs a tall defender. Timing of leads, running patterns, playing a high role vs deep. Diff defenive set-ups / methods up forward vs back. How to run those patterns to work in with other KFs like Roohey and when the two resting rucks are about. Add to this the mids / HBs also becoming aware of his whereabouts, lead patterns etc and starting to look for him more often when he does. Bit of a catch 22 / positive reinforcement issue here. The more he gets on the end of their work and converts, the more looks he'll probably get. Think we finally started to see this really coming together in the first half on Saturday. But alas the old foot issue again. Bloody frustrating! Having said that i reckon BBB will do ok if he gets the call up. Hopefully Macca also if he's fully over any ankle niggles.

Two bear cubs! You're probably a bit young to recall these two but our bears kinda fit the bill. I can see them enjoying a picnic as long as there's plenty of honey snacks! No i didn't know that Jaded. How uncanny is that. Our pup's haircuts can also get pretty scruffy and out of hand at times. A good match up for Clarry's very stylish do!

Meet Ollie Bear the cavoodle. Mini poodle with the olde prince charles. Recruited roughly about the same time as Clarry. Had early overweight issues but has since blossomed into a K9 super star... Bear because we sometimes wonder whether he is one or not. Loves to hibernate during winter months and only likes to venture out in warmer weather. His favourite snacks are two crusty corners off my early morning toast and anything biscuity (water crackers!). He thinks he's a bit tough around big dogs (which is most other dogs) until things get a bit rowdy then he's like 'what the' and exits stage left. This is his Demon V jacket...

My understanding was Macca missed last week's Casey game due to a latent ankle issue from a week or so before. Doubt he would've gotten up? Haven't seen anywhere in this last week that BBB has had a comtinuation of a slight niggle about two weeks ago (i think). If he's right to play Casey this week then he'd be straight in surely

Take no notice of some of the massive percentage gains, such as marks inside 50, which are just mathematical outcomes due to a very low figure from 2022. Also contested marks et al. If anyone needs a legend i can post that separately but hopefully the abbreviations should be mostly self explanatory. Looking at some of those numbers, it would seem Tom might be being asked to play more of an outside-mid role (less clearances, less contested, more uncontested)? And possibly being asked to run back a little more often to support (rebounds up somewhat, inside 50s down a tad)?
