Need a big night from the local Brissy Demons as the Lion players are gonna come after HP big time i reckon. Likely to get pretty willing early me thinks and he'll be a target throughout the match. Hope the boys are mentally prepped for this to happen

Tommo on the flight = No May for mine unfortunately
-
He is athletic once on the move Dazzle but i watched him closely against the Hawks last season and he was easily beaten to the drop of the ball on most occasions and unable to kill the ball very often aside from the occasional big bombs. I think some are fooled by his running / athletic capability when he gets some momentum but off the mark he's well behind many forwards with any sort of speed over the first few meters. I reckon some opps might know this also and would look to exploit this weakness, especially by looking to go through any forward with even a bit of decent burst on the lead.

Please do the right thing and contact Action Jackson asap Walking and let him know about this arrangement. It's a win win as his 24 hour plus wait will be worthwhile plus he won't just keep the seats in your bay warm.... they'll be red hot by the time the game starts! 👍🏻

Nailed cool kid & stoner but say what old boy... isn't that the reincarnated ace fighter pilot Biggles in the middle there??...
-
AJ i know you're super eager but you do realise the game starts 'tomorrow' evening right?

They don't normally like to bring players with plenty of credits back through the McGoos layzie However in this instance, especially given the state of our list, the FD def has some luxuries afforded to it (if they wish). Add to this the apparent lack of hard edged match fitness & run that we used to see in Salo (21 and prior) that appeared to be missing last season, personally i would much rather see him hit certain KPIs before a recall. We want every line firing at its peak this season wherever possible and no better opportunity here than to have Salo build up his match fitness & running capability at Casey imv
-
Absolutely ... plus Maysy himself of course
-
Yes and if it goes again.... might not be back till well into second half if lucky. No doubt the FD won't be pushing to get him in unless he's cherry ripe
-
Def worth a look layzie... although i fast forward pretty much everything else aside from Demon related. Too much chompers nonsense. Some of the match day analysis is actually quite good though when they aren't fooling around.

Anyone not running a tag on Nick and Pendles, who they have sitting as a QB off the back of the square distributing the ball at will through the middle, are doomed to fail. Also the vision off the Sunday footy show was very telling. Between the arcs all players sit off the fat side of their opponent on both sides of the field. Looking to either force their opponents out wide if they don't win the 50/50s or if they win it they run it on 45s through the middle in numbers. Im not sure what strat you would use to combat that but surely all teams are well aware of this plus the Pendles QB set up (from the back of square and pushing through the middle) by now!??

One of the scariest momemts in movie history 😄 -
Daicos brothers and Pendles are always in the mix LH. Not sure how DeGoey got 10 in that match. second half was good but certainly not as noticeable in the first.
-
No doubt already been mentioned but of course Buddy gets just one week for going past the ball and ironing out oppo with an elbow to the head... Kozzy gets two with oppo barely a scratch. The AFL Circus continues unabated! Well done Gil

Yep he made me eat humble pie Dockett. I thought he may have been passed any kind of performance like that when i watched him in the warm up against the Saints... 17 effectives, 6 one percenters, 8 rebounds, 1 inside 50, 2 tackles (one of those inside 50), 4 score involvements, 5 intercepts and 424 meters gained. 4 turnovers
-
Not really a surpirse and will change with each match depending on who's in / out for us and the oppo of course. Nonetheless makes for positive reading... https://www.zerohanger.com/every-afl-clubs-backline-ranked-part-iii-2-134095/

Yes interesting point tiers. Be nice to see some sort of hot zone map where it shows where the ball was tracking
-
Yes a great example of playing your role. No stat for this act either, it's purely team driven & sacrificial
-
Yes a tad quiet although he didn't do too badly if compared to say Tracc, where he had only two less effectives with 10% less game time (84% vs 74% respectively). Also the scores don't always reflect the quality of those possessions. Better to trust in what we witness on the day i think.

I don't think many realised it was them coming on as the announcer was that lady with the screechy voice that makes your ears bleed. I had my fingers in my ears whenever she started speaking. Truth! Wasn't till they got to the southern wing that i realised it was the AFLW team doing a lap Pleeeeease ....Bring back Robbo!!

Spargoat coming up on SEN shortly

6. Kozzie - super clean all night, pressure 1st class all night. 4 snags for a small forward... noice! 5. Gawn - just everywhere, sticking hands in everywhere to spoil/flick ball around etc. Desperation off the charts. 4. Tracc - Bit of a coin toss between him & Gawn. When Tracc decides to take it up a notch look out. Not many can go with him. 3. Gus - a few fumbles in the 1st half. Made ammends and then some in the second. 2. Rivers - Great run and drive off HB. Solid all night 1. Ben Brown - got to plenty of contests. Took some nice clunks including a couple on the lead. Some clutch goals. 4 is a decent haul! Apologies... Bowser, Lever, Tomo, Petty & Spargoat

Round 1, 2023 MCG - Demons vs Bulldogs Clarry opens his 2023 salvo with the No.1 mantle. Not sure i would agree with that after watching the match but then again you do miss alot of what's happening up the opposite end when you're sitting behind the goals Thought CP5 & Kozzie were close to BOG. Kozzie's pressure in our F 50 and even higher up the ground was super all night. Track lifted from about the 20 minute mark of the second and the Dogs couldn't go with him afterwards continuing his fabulous pre-season form Great result for BBB with four snags. The one from the pocket was a beautiful bender The defence looked a little shakey at times but settled after half time and held up nicely with some lovely connection happening later in the match. Thought Melk's goal in particular was team poetry off HB. The Bowser handball in traffic out wide to Claz... wowsers! Top 5 Meters Gained > Tracc 661 (Doggy's best...Smith with 623), Clarry 488 (drive those legs Mr Choo Choo!), Lever 484, Tomlinson 424 & Rivers 388 Thought this was an excellent result given the key outs we had. Grundy slotted in very nicely ty. Had a few iffy moments but appeared to improve as the game progressed Bring on the Bears!
