  1. Well sorry Gold Coast, guess Petracca is not getting traded then. Also Humphrey can come out and request a trade, which throws a spanner in the works. His manager is probably trying to increase the offers here from other clubs. We had no plans to trade Trac either, but life happens.
  2. Way to ruin our day Jay!
  3. No way in hell they trade Curnow for Humphrey. Curnow also doesn't want to go to the Gold Coast AFAIK. And Gold Coast don't need more early picks for their academy boys, especially if they get 7 from St Kilda for Flanders. That gives them more than enough.
  4. Not a chance in hell Trac goes to the Suns to play permanent forward. He will play a Dusty hybrid role. That is 100% what Dimma would have sold him.
  5. Everyone refreshing their browser today
  6. Let's hope we have thrown enough money at him to hide the dumpster fire
  7. And Gus had a 6 year deal on the table from Freo. History shows that we couldn't afford to lose Gus. He was our next captain, and the heart and soul of this club. The competition sets the price. You play the game, or you get nothing. Edit: and Flanders or Humphrey, if they come to us, will both get long deals. So better buckle up.
  8. And getting a good return for Trac, is the opposite lesson here. Do you want another McVee/Jackson scenario? Because I don't. Long contracts are a risk, but losing quality players for peanuts is a greater risk.
  9. How can Collingwood make a trade happen? And Carlton will have to give up Curnow to do it, which they won't. They like Collingwood have no good picks this year. And GC don't need future picks.
  10. Bella was never moving to bloody Adelaide. She's not 80 years old with a fetish for churches.
  11. RIP my job, my family, my dog
  12. Edit: I will never get any work done
  13. It's the hope that kills you...
  14. What does Collingwood give Gold Coast to make this happen? Daicos?
  15. Cornes next week: “how did Melbourne allow their best players to leave for pick 7 in a weak draft? They’re a mess”
  16. No [censored]. Can’t have both plus keep their picks for their academy guys And Carlton’s price for Curnow would be even higher than ours is for Trac.
  17. Trac in front of 10,000 fans a week
  18. They can have all our rubbish picks to make up the points they need for their academy boys too I’ll also throw in a Steven May for nostalgia
  19. You’re either the riddler in disguise or you’re Jesus himself
  20. I mean I thought I made it pretty clear that I was being facetious with the whole unmarked bills and Penfolds deal 😂
  21. King literally told me today that the expectations is finals and to rise up quickly. And at every B&F and AGM and pre season interview since 2023 with players and coaches they’ve talked about playing finals. Either you haven’t been listening, or you’re just ignoring them. In fact the media all predicted we don’t make the 8 this year. And they were right.
  22. Theory: AFL wants to keep promoting the game up north and they need a big name marketable player who craves the limelight and has a profile to do just that. AFL tells Gold Coast to make the trade happen Melbourne says we don’t want to lose one of our marquee players without fair compensation and you’ve ruined the draft with your academy AFL says ok who you want? We say Humphrie AFL calls Humphrie’s manager and tells them Melbourne has a briefcase full of unmarked bills and a sponsorship deal with Penfolds for him that they’ll never look into Deal done
  23. If I was a betting woman, I reckon Clarry ends up at Sydney or he stays put. Sydney with Goody and away from the fishbowl of the media would work best for him. I know most fans don’t care what happens to players once they leave, but I care deeply that whatever move Clarry makes, supports his overall wellbeing. It’s more important than footy.
  24. Tim Lamb trying to lure star players and watching our club go to work today
