Tim Lamb Trade Update
I specifically asked you about contracted players so don’t change the narrative to suit your endless hatred of our club and then ask me to accept it And you can believe me or not I couldn’t give a stuff Jesus why do I bother with you. I should know better. Enjoy piling [censored] on our club

Tim Lamb Trade Update
So you’d rather we lost him to Freo. Ok cool This is what the market demands. Jesus do people think our club operates in a vacuum?

Tim Lamb Trade Update
I never said he’s done a great job, but you’re going on about him folding at trades when there is no proof of that. I can tell you categorically that the Viney and Gawn extensions came from the board in a time when we needed good news and to manage optics. It was not Lamb’s decision alone. And these list cloggers you speak of cost us genuinely nothing. When he got May Lever and Langdon he was ace, and now he’s not? And where was the bitchin and moaning when Lamb managed to snag Kosi for 9 years when every man and his dog thought he was gone?!

He's OOC at the Saints is he not? Take pick 89 or take a hike Saints. We all know you have bigger bags of cash to fry.

Tim Lamb Trade Update
We got Grundy for what we traded him for. Very Little. We lost nothing in that trade, because we paid nothing in that trade. Jackson was OUT OF GODDAMN CONTRACT JJ was a bit player who struggled to get a game in our midfield, and was also OOC as was Bedford, who was offered a very good deal by us but chose to leave. Same goes for McVee. ANB was a trade done in good faith to enable a club champion to get back for pressing family reasons that most on here don't know about We did not want to lose Jackson, and these long term deals everyone has a sook about, is exactly why we do them, so that we have a leg up in negotiations. If Trac was currently OOC he'd walk and we'd get a compo pick back. How is that a better option?

Tim Lamb Trade Update
Jackson was out of contract mate. You have no leg to stand on when a guy is not contracted. So can you please again talk to me about a CONTRACTED star player that we traded for unders. And ffs enough with the McAdams trade. He was a missing piece, and he unfortunately didn't work out. A second round pick is literally a packet of chips these days, when bloody Flanders is getting you pick 7! Just let it go.

Can you name the last big name contracted player we traded out for unders?

Do you know what Tim Lamb used to do in a past life? I don't think he takes these journalists seriously. He couldn't give a stuff about them.

The Bailey Humphrey Thread
As my post above re: Merrett, people are undervaluing Trac because we are all a bit over him and his drama. But he is still an incredibly damaging player, 2nd in our B&F, scored 10 Brownlow votes, can play multiple roles, and with an extra pre season post injury he will be back to his peak fitness no doubt. He is also a total professional, and would be a fantastic asset to a young team who is lacking experience and need a big game player, which Trac is. Hardwick is not at the Suns for a long time, he's there for a good time. Like Lyon he is restless. He wants to win a flag, and he wants it now. They could definitely win it based on just natural development of their players, including Humphrey, but that's a risk you are taking while other clubs around you also develop and get stronger. Or, you can inject a sure thing into your team now. This opportunity to land a Trac, a Merrett or a Butters is very very rare. Waste it at your own risk. Also where we are is not where GC are. We would take Humphrey over Trac, because we are unlikely to win a flag in the next couple of years. We want to build the list now around the likes of Kosi, Disco and Langford. GC have young talent coming into their club like it's going out of style. They will never have shortage of quality players.

People are seriously undervaluing Merrett You can not like what he's done recently, but he's a gun, a 6 time B&F winner, and he makes Hawthorn immediately better and puts them straight in line for a flag. Humphrey having the same immediate impact as Merrett is unlikely. Sure he is a future investment, but Hawks are in a win now mode. They need to win one before Gunston retires. They looked into Trac because this is where they are at with their list.

You let him go now, because in 3 years when he's OOC you are never getting Petracca in return for him The decision is simple, what is more valuable to Dimma, Trac and winning a flag now, or Humphrey potentially staying into the future.

Petracca right now

Indeed. But the puppet masters are far from it.

We need to make him want to move badly by throwing him so much money he can’t refuse it This better be Tim Lamb right now

The Bailey Humphrey Thread
It’s very obvious that unless Humphrey forces their hand, as Trac has ours, this deal won’t move Humphrey has to put his big boy pants on and speak up. Otherwise they’ll continue to say no way.
-
The Christian Petracca Thread
If this club lets a newbie franchise or Trac bend them over, we will lose whatever shred of credibility we have left in this competition and it’ll go down like sour milk for the small stronghold of remaining loyal members. Myself included. Let’s see how this pans out.

No he isn’t when they’re in a win now mode. Merrett also brings leadership.

Hawks and Pies don't have a trade to make that would satisfy the Suns, so that's irrelevant. Here is the thing tho, if a Victorian kid is chatting to 3 Melbourne clubs with years remaining on his contract, then the reality is that he's a flight risk. GC must know that one day he will want to move on, and when he's OOC and asks to move, they'll get 5 cents in the dollar for him. Or, they can bite the bullet now and get something very valuable for him.

You are a pitiful human if you think Clarry doesn't deserve our love. Either that, or you have no clue whatsoever what he's been through, which is a hell of a lot more than Trac has. But by all means, keep telling us how we deserve to hate a guy who won 4 B&Fs, 2 Coaches Awards and has never, not once, said a bad word about our club, nor tried blowing up the joint so we would trade him.
-
Rumours
There is also a world where Clarry says I want to stay and prove you all wrong, but that depends on how forceful we were in the meeting with him. I still think that he would be open to changing the way he plays and work hard on being a weapon outside, so long as the club didn't tear him down completely. He won't stay where he is not wanted.

The Bailey Humphrey Thread
Perhaps, but this is a high profile get for them. Some are comparing it to Gary Ablett Jnr (laughable I know). This is about increasing their marketability and growing their club in the northern markets. That's something which is hard to do without big name players or big time success. Trac could bring both.

Rumours
100% this. You can't throw away a player, and then play hard ball when he says this is where I want to go. IMHO he would prefer to leave Victoria. He's seen the benefits for Hogan when he left the fishbowl of a footy state.
