I know McQualter is a fan so undoubtedly the Eagles would be keen on him. Even pick 11 in this compromised draft is not a trade I’m salivating over. So if Freo offer a second rounder I’m playing hard ball and telling Judd we will walk him to the draft. I would however trade everything we get for Trac plus McVee plus future picks to get Jackson back. A girl can dream! 😂

The whole thing stinks Even if it’s true that he and Lily separated, it doesn’t explain waiting for 12 odd months to sign a contract you were given and had amended multiple times. Lots of excuses re: role, waiting for a new coach, but IMO Freo and his WA manager were in his ear all year and finally got what they wanted. And if anyone says “home sick” I’ll remind you Judd is not from Perth, and WA has two teams. Funny how he isn’t requesting a trade to the wooden spooners isn’t it?

I’ve been here long enough to know which posters have serious problems and tend to pick on female posters. It’s very obvious. You don’t think the post referring to it being a “gal thing” to feel betrayed by a player is misogynistic? It’s fine not to agree, but the absolute garbage that Ghosty cops compared to others who post information and rumours, is very very obvious. I love everyone who comes here with info. Hell I’m here for the riddler at trade time. But if one poster gets so much vitriol thrown at them, and the only difference between said poster and others is her gender, then I think it’s fair to say that there is a level of misogyny going on. Especially when said poster contributes so positively not only to Demonland but the club itself! As one of the first and few female posters on here, it’s very disheartening to see some of the rubbish written towards her.

Don’t care that he lied to a fan. It’s poor but it happens. Care that he lied to the club for months and that his manager wasted our time and got the club to redraw contracts several times as his demands changed. And then lied about waiting for a new coach.

But I bet you love coming here and reading the info. If you don’t, block the posters or go away. Having a go at supporters who pass along info they get in good faith is what’s pathetic. The posters who suggested Judd will stay all have very solid track record with info and have put their necks out several times against the tide. Famously on Kosi staying put! It’s part of what makes Demonland so good, even if the info occasionally doesn’t stack up. If journalists can flat out lie to us, you have a problem with a few posters occasionally getting some solid info wrong? Edit: not surprised one bit by the poster who liked your post. The worst of the lot when it comes to contributing nothing but their deluded ego to this site, and who continuously shows his misogynistic ways with the posters he looks down on and dismisses.

Maybe King doesn’t think Judd is good enough to play an attacking half back role? Maybe he thinks Judd is better as a deep defender. Who knows really. Maybe he just said I will take your wishes on board, but bottom line we play a team sport and you need to play whatever role we need you to play each week. At the end of the day a player so clearly embedded in your best 22, leaving on grounds of wanting to play a slightly different role, is a total load of BS and an excuse. I’m not buying it.

Not sure he wants to be a midfielder. He wants to play an attacking role. Doesn’t want to defend hard. Doesn’t want to play last line of defense. It actually annoys me how hard Howes had to work to get senior games down back this year, while McVee had such a poor year and was never once dropped.

I think he stitched the club too. I reckon he and his WA based manager told a lot of lies during the year. Tried extracting more money, got more years, then asked to reduce the contract length back to two years, then asked to wait for a new coach… they absolutely played us.

This is exactly why we replaced Goody, because standards and selflessness have gone out the window, something Goody himself recently admitted was a struggle post flag. You don’t let players run the show. Especially not players of Judd’s caliber. Imagine McVee telling Chris Scott he doesn’t want to play a defensive role. He’d be laughed out of the senior side.

I know we won’t do that, as it screws us, but my god I’d be tempted to let him walk to the draft and end up at West Coast and rot at the bottom of the ladder for the best years of his career. Seems Judd and his manager took our club for a ride. So I was watching the game with friends yesterday including my very good friend who is an Essendon supporter. We were discussing how they’re chasing Zac Bailey (who is a gun!), and he said Bailey would love to come play for a big club like Essendon now he’s won 2 flags. I didn’t know if should laugh at him or cry at his delusion, so I just said the only way Bailey ends up at Essendon is if you throw every single bit of cap you have at him.

Andrews was fantastic but against not much opposition, especially once Cameron broke his arm. Lions won that game thru midfield dominance and brutality led by Ashcroft. Ashcroft also played well for the entire game, he dominated in every quarter. 32 touches, 10 clearances, 8 tackles, 9 inside 50s, 10 score involvements, 3 goal assists and a goal himself is elite stuff. He had a complete game.

To think post 2022 Brisbane got a two time Norm Smith medallist for pick 46 🙄

17 and 7 clearances in a half. Elite stuff. A risk that paid off.
