Pretty pathetic for them to get stuck into Ben Brown who they treated like crap in the hub and while his poor wife lost a baby. Maybe if after 10 years of being a gun key forward for that joke of a club they didn't turn on him the minute he struggled with injury and personal issues, he would still be there kicking them goals and helping them lose by 50 points instead of 100 points each week. If they think he left for money, they obviously have no idea what was happening at their club. He gets paid a lot less at Melbourne than he would have at North. They chose to bottom out and dump good quality senior players. They are where they are because of poor management. Cry me a damn river.

But once again, the inconsistency is the issue. If he was a big name, the AFL would say it was a good tackle and an unfortunate outcome. The only way we are going to incentivise players is by actually punishing ALL players in this situation, not just the ones that are not deemed to be big enough names by the AFL.

Was genuinely happy to hear such a strong amount of support for Melbourne yesterday. Eagles fans have even lost the will to boo.

I feel for Chandler as it was a good tackle gone wrong. Nothing could have been done while it was already in motion. Considering how little Chandler is, I think it was just accidental and hope the player he tackled is ok. It’s never nice to see anyone concussed. However if Chandler cops a week then Ryan should cop 3. Chose to bump, got Bowey high, could have had severe consequences. But given it’s the AFL, they’ll both get a week.

There is absolutely no doubt that when we play quality opposition we play a lot better. I am happy to play in third gear for half a game and win by 74 points. Just banking wins and percentage for when the losses do come and we ramp up our training loads too.

You’d be stupid to risk Harmes off a short break and a long flight against North, when our next month sees us playing Freo, Sydney and Brisbane. Playing with fire. Wouldn’t be against playing Bedford and pushing ANB further up the ground to cover the Harmes role. Bedford deserves a full game. Dunstan doesn’t cover Harmesy’s role for mine. Can’t I just hate her for telling me all game that Jackson is auditioning for West Coast? Firstly, that’s dead straight offensive to him. He doesn’t need to audition he’s good enough for them to want him. Secondly, maybe he’s playing well because he’s a good player who wants his side to win? Also I’m glad she kept reminding me he is from Perth and loves Nic Nat. Really added to the enjoyment of the game. He looked shattered. Poor guy. Totally accidental.
