Jake Melksham 200 Games
A great achievement for anyone let alone those Essendon players who suffered through a year long ban thanks to their pathetic administration. Go well today Melky.

GAMEDAY: Rd 11 vs Fremantle
It should be a genuinely good contest and I expect it to be very close all day. Langdon is a massive out for us. Hopefully the home ground advantage and our ability to never move away from our game style will help us win. If we do win, Bowey is tied for all time wins from debut.

TEAMS: Rd 11 vs Fremantle
This is going to be a very tough game now. Tmac has a knack of getting himself back into good form and then getting injured.

Taylor Walker
There is no doubt that even at 32 he is still a good player who could add plenty to a side. Sadly he is a cultural cancer and a [censored] of the highest order.

TEAMS: Rd 11 vs Fremantle
This will be our hardest test of the year missing Langdon who is in the top 5 most important players for us. It will likely be a low scoring affair. Hopefully we can break them open late.

System vs Talent: What makes Melbourne so good?
Nobody can tell me that Richmond’s list was better than ours when they were winning flags. Dusty is a stand out beyond most players ever seen in the AFL for his pure ability to dominate finals. But aside from him we are a better balanced side with more A graders.

System vs Talent: What makes Melbourne so good?
LOL very few dynasty teams had more than 5 champions. We have 5 champions and another 10 A graders who would walk into every single side in the competition. Ridiculous discussion.

Angus Brayshaw
I understand totally where you are coming from, but Gus is a leader and from a cultural point of view it is extremely important that we keep him. He knows he can walk for more money and a midfield role, so we definitely need to do something to lure him to stay.

CHANGES: Rd 11 vs Fremantle
I agree, and he will likely be a late out. But they won't give Melksham the emergency position for his 200th, so the real question is, who drops out?
-
CHANGES: Rd 11 vs Fremantle
I have a feeling we won't risk Ed. Too important and no point playing him if he's in considerable pain. Melksham will get his 200th instead. It will be out Dunstan in Viney. Bedford the sub yet again.

Jake Bowey Rising Star #2
Nah. Big chance for a premiership medal though I hear.

NON-MFC: Round 10, 2022
He is a bozo. Complete deflection tactics from a coach of a side everyone tipped will play off in another granny and they are miles off it.

Kangaroos Hopping Mad after Triple Walk Out
Incorrect. Too many teams struggling and taking away from an already shrinking talent pool doesn’t make for a better competition.
-
POSTGAME: Rd 10 vs North Melbourne
Imagine what they would be saying if we could kick straight.... "peaked too early".

Kangaroos Hopping Mad after Triple Walk Out
Everyone needs to stop feeling sorry for other clubs. The weaker other clubs are, the better positioned we are. I sat next to enough arrogant North fans on Saturday to know that when we are down the bottom again they won't show any mercy towards us. The way they tried to physically attack us during the game, knowing full well they couldn't win on skills, talent or execution, just shows you the sort of club they are.

Blues the Dee-stroyers?
See also pre season 2021 versus Dogs. We got “destroyed” then closed a 50 point game to lose by under a goal without most of our backline playing half arsed footy. Pre season games only matter to clubs that have something to prove.

Blues the Dee-stroyers?
Classic peaking in May syndrome. We haven’t even got to 70% of our true output. Bring it on.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER
He was being “tagged” by his best mate Simpkin. Extra motivation to do well I reckon. Bad move from Norf.

Petracca’s goalkicking
He is a flawed footballer who should be dropped to Casey. I’m sick of his [censored]. 3rd! Pfft rubbish.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER
One day soon Sparrow will be able to take on more inside midfield minutes and we might have the luxury of resting Clarry forward. Given he’s a good mark I suspect he might then start impacting the scoreboard.

CHANGES: Rd 11 vs Fremantle
Best news ever on Ed.

CHANGES: Rd 11 vs Fremantle
Langdon training, even moderately, is fantastic news. Hopefully he won’t be out for long. I never ever thought we would see Salem before the Bye. He will need at least one week at Casey to get some match fitness and we won’t risk him in the slightest. We can’t afford a re-injury or a soft tissue injury (which he has had history with) now.
-
POSTGAME: Rd 10 vs North Melbourne
I agree but it also was not our home game, so realistically put that on North fans not Dees fans, who outnumbered the home team 3 to 1 anyway!
-
Petracca’s goalkicking
It’s a mental thing. One day he will kick 3 straight in a game and he won’t miss again for the rest of the season. He is in his own head. His reaction to missing simple shots is one of utter devastation.

2022 Match Review Panel
Cracked ribs is an incredibly dangerous injury that could lead to punctured lungs. While I completely agree that we need to protect the head and avoid concussion, accidental injuries will occur all day every day in footy. If you’re going to punish accidental head injuries why aren’t you going to punish accidental rib or shoulder or knee injuries which occur in a tackle? Chandler didn’t mean to hurt his opponent. Thomas sure as hell did.
