Low Attendance
On the other hand the level of umpiring is so bad I understand why people don’t want to watch games.

CHANGES: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
When was the last time Weideman wasn’t poor playing senior footy? 2018? Weideman commands 0 respect from the opposition. You drop BB and suddenly Fritta has to play on a FB twice his height.

VOTES: Rd 12 vs Sydney
Sure but May wasn’t an option tonight. So we had to push on and Petty fought on manfully. I think Tomlinson is a poor defender but agree that Petty needs a week off to recover properly from his 240 injuries.

CHANGES: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
Brown has about 100 good games up on Weideman. Even when out of form Brown still takes away the best defender. He is that much better than Weideman ever has or ever will be. Having said that, Mitch Brown is a bad bandaid and we need to bring Weideman in and let him play the year out with BB because there are no other options.

VOTES: Rd 12 vs Sydney
Neither Rivers nor Hibberd are tall defenders. Petty struggled but he was still our best tall defender even on one leg. I shudder to think how many more goals we would have conceded without him.

Complacency
Unfortunately it appears the meeting didn’t help.

VOTES: Rd 12 vs Sydney
Again because injuries are forcing our hand. May, Smith both unbelievable and Tmac also injured. We literally have no options. He was cleared of structural damage last week so he played. He was in so much pain I can’t believe how well he played with a bad shoulder, a bad knee and a bad ankle. Absolute resilience!

POSTGAME: Rd 12 vs Sydney
That’s not our style anymore and thank goodness for that. I rather not ruin a kid with a heap of potential. Weideman has to step the [censored] up. I’ve had a gutful of him. He’s been handed a golden opportunity this year to possibly be a premiership player and he has simply not taken it.

Because the only two forwards left standing are Weideman and JVR.

VOTES: Rd 12 vs Sydney
You have to give big props to Petty. He was literally sticky taped together and just killed every ball coming his way. Held a fragile backline together.

I reckon BB is sick. He literally looks like he’s dying whenever he comes to the bench. Hasn’t been the same since he missed with Covid.

Steven May and automatically we are 30% better. The forward cupboard is bare.

Low Attendance
Another horrible turn out. Sydney fans made more noise than our fans.

POSTGAME: Rd 12 vs Sydney
I wish they would lead this fast or move at all. They all just stand there.

POSTGAME: Rd 12 vs Sydney
Ball use. Connection going inside 50 and our forwards literally staring at the ground as the ball runs out. Midfield all at sea. No May = backline is falling apart at the seams. It was a bad day made worse by putrid umpiring.

Umpires need to be thrown out

GAMEDAY: Rd 12 vs Sydney
Too many passengers. We look like a team that thinks winning will just happen. Teams come out and go 110% trying to beat us and we have just been going. Our easy first half draw hasn’t helped either. Pressure is way off. Forwardline is a complete mess. Defense is depleted and has been all year long. Midfield is not able to sustain dominance for 4 quarters. A lot of improvement. Luckily we are in a good position to reset.

GAMEDAY: Rd 12 vs Sydney
What’s worse? The umpires, our forwardline or our inability to play without May?

GAMEDAY: Rd 12 vs Sydney
I only thought it was regulation because he played the game out against North and didn’t seem to be in horrible pain. But hey I’m not a doctor, much to my parents’ disappointment.

GAMEDAY: Rd 12 vs Sydney
And we still don’t know why he’s even out. I assume it’s not Covid or they would have announced it a while ago. His ankle must be stuffed. Two weeks out for a regulation twisted ankle seems excessive. Harmes has come back from a hamstring sooner!

Langdon is literally the fittest guy in the AFL. You think two weeks off will mean he has lost his ability to run 15km? I doubt it.

Midway 2022 Report Card
I know and I was also pointing out that he has not had a clear run with injuries so their entire article makes no sense.
