  1. I don't think so. The real stat is how damaging are the clearances that we win, versus the ones the opposition win. When we win a centre clearance it's almost always resulting in an inside 50. No so much our opponents. We also score very highly for centre clearances. I am not so fussed about pure numbers, it's about outcomes and I think we are just as happy to attack from half back after losing a centre clearance, as we are to attack from a centre clearance itself. It's the around the ground contested stuff that really matters.
  2. Kosi has to learn, and I rather he misses games early on in the season and realises the MRO will come down hard on him, than get suspended ahead of or during finals again. He is still young, but gees he has to just cut it out. He is not achieving anything except hurting the team. And for those who say it's laughable if he gets suspended, well if the shoe was on the other foot and Maynard did that to on of our players, you'd be out for blood. It is just not a necessary action, especially to leave the ground and then raise the elbow. That is, and will continue to be a suspendable action!
  3. He is selfless and does what he is asked to do, but isn't it lovely to have another mid in the rotation who can step up and deliver when one of our A+ graders is struggling with injury or illness (like Clarry and Viney were last night). His defensive work is fantastic, really underrated, and his ability to impact the scoreboard is second only behind Trac... who would have 40 goals a year if he could kick straight.
  4. Billings plays a different role. Iโ€™m less annoyed about the goal kicking, Petty had a stinker too, and more annoyed about the number of missed tackles to be honest.
  5. That happens with forwards sometimes, especially when we lose the inside 50 count so comprehensively in the first half. What is amazing is how big of an impact that man has on a match off so few possessions. He can have a 3 minute burst in a game and kill the opposition. Like Kosi, give him an inch and he will take a mile and 3 goals.
  6. Sometimes your best players at 50% are better than your next available at 100%. Tell me who would be better tonight, May with 3 broken ribs or Tomlinson? AWM and Tholstrup would not have had the impact Chandler had today even with a sore knee. And Schache wouldnโ€™t have taken away a good defender and halved contests like Brown did for three quarters. Hell Clarry with his busted hand was pivotal to turning the game in the third quarter. Elite players find a way and they are irreplaceable, so you play them as often as you can when there are critical wins on the line. If we played West Coast today May wouldnโ€™t have played. Nor Oliver.
  7. If graded medium we will go the tribunal and argue to downgrade it to low since there was no impact.
  8. May with the 6 votes. Two for each broken rib he played with tonight. An absolute warrior!
  9. Optics = bad = gone One day this boy will miss a Grand Final. He should only get a week as impact is low. But really just unnecessary.
  10. McAdams would be a good replacement for Kosi. Any chance? Kosi has got to just stop leaving the ground and raising his elbow. It always looks bad and for such a good player heโ€™s missing too much footy for too many stupid decisions.
  11. How good is Windsor? Blown away by his poise, footy IQ, and ability to win the contest. 10/10 drafting again.
  12. Brown subbed off in the last. Clarry with a busted hand doing his best
  13. Also hi to David King who said we wonโ€™t make the 8
  14. How funny is Adelaide booing Lever.
  15. We were absolutely cooked in the last. We put the foot down in the third knowing we would run out of gas in the last. That last quarter was just professional defensive slog. Brilliant. Donโ€™t underestimate how tough these two games were.
  16. Steven May take an absolute bow. What a star!!! A great team performance, against the umps, off a 5 day break, against a team that desperately needed a win at their home ground. So proud of this club, after all the garbage we had thrown at us this off season, we didnโ€™t let it impact us instead we said โ€œwatch thisโ€ ๐Ÿซก
  17. That ground is our fortress. Petition to move our home games there.
  18. A brilliant win. Sensational team game against the [censored] umps and off a 5 day break
  19. These umpires need to get in the bin. Absolute [censored] joke. We do not deserve to lose this.
  20. This is a disgraceful umpiring display
  21. Umpires absolute trash tonight
  22. The most underrated forward in the game
  23. Windsor is already the best kick in our team. I said it.
  24. This. And as soon as your feet leave the grind youโ€™re in big trouble
