We’ve taken a big backwards step this season so far. Lose tomorrow and we will struggle to make the 8, let alone top 4. Making this yet another wasted season.

If he came to us unfit, then no doubt that hasn’t helped his groin. So far I give him a 2/10. I really hope he comes good and proves his worth. I think he can be a vital cog for us in defense, but if he can’t get on the field and has poor conditioning at 27, we are in trouble.

So far it’s not been a good start for May. At 27 he doesn’t have a decade of chances ahead of him. I understand that injuries can’t be helped, but keeping himself in top condition over pre season and not getting suspended for silly stuff is within his control. Very disappointing.

Brisbane are a joy to watch. Wish we got Charlie Cameron. Neale has been incredible for them as well. Like I said last week, they’ll make the 8.

At the end of the day he has currency and is expandable. I would entertain offers for some outside leg speed or a quality crumbing forward.

I find it extra alarming that despite having a good outing from some of our best mids, and having 19747 more inside 50s that we got demolished by 80 points. Where is the 81 point improvement going to come from? We’ve been worked out and it’s round 2. Ring the alarm.

Last week I thought we lost because all of our best players had a shocker. And I thought this would never happen again. Tonight Oliver, Viney and Brayshaw were all at their regular output and we got destroyed. It’s a real worry as we still have far too many poor footballers in our team and too many inconsistent players. I worry about where we are going this season.

I do and then when we came up against an actual contender we got flogged and we haven’t won a game since. The team we beat in a final just flogged us like a dead horse. We won nothing in 2018 and 2019 looks like it will be much the same.
