The Run Home
Because of our injuries. It’s not like they went on to win the flag. All I’m saying is that Brisbane should beat the Pies given their outs. If they don’t then Brisbane really shouldn’t be considered a contender.

The Run Home
Pies have pulled up stumps on the H&A season, which on the one hand is fair as they can ill afford more injuries, but on the other hand is a worry because they are flirting with already pretty mediocre form. If Brisbane smash them, that gives them a psychological edge when/should they meet in finals. If Pies win without Moore, Daicos and De Goey then you can just about put a line through the Lions.

Umpiring discrepancies
He said it in reference to Marchbank claiming he touched it. Basically “yeah I tell the defenders to do the same”. You really think other clubs don’t? Carlton are happy to lie and so is every other club.

If you don’t turn up this week to cheer this man on, then when will you?!

POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Carlton
We will get up for Max’s 200th this weekend. Hawks are a threat because they play like they have nothing to lose. Saturday’s loss will burn the players and I’m sure they’ll come out hard. After two poor first quarters in a row, I hope we put a lot of emphasis on coming out strong in the first quarter. We need to let the Hawks know early that we aren’t another contender they can push around.

POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Carlton
Or even Kosi if Clarry was running on fumes at that stage. A bizarre decision not to go hard to start the last quarter, and an even worse one to put Trac on Cripps. Needed to put a defensive mid on him, like Gus or Viney. If the FD had their time again I also don't think they play Grundy, but we had to find out one way or another.

NON-MFC: Rd 22 2023
Richmond play their final home game this weekend. Not sure Reiwoldt and Cotchin want to play their last game in Adelaide. Fair enough too. They'll get a big crowd this weekend to celebrate them.

Has our form been overstated?
Are you kidding about Clayton? He had game high tackles, clearances, and pressure acts in a game that was all about pressure and contest. We didn’t lose because he played! In fact, I’d argue that we lost because he started the last quarter on the bench while we let Cripps twice walk out the front of the clearance, leading to Carlton scoring. I don’t have time to go through every one of your posts where you take a literal dump on our club and players. The post I quoted was just the first one I found where you state how much better the other clubs are, in spite their weaknesses, yet you can never admit that our weaknesses are no worse than any other contender. Your [censored] take above about Clarry unbalancing us and helping us lose, is literally the most laughable one yet. I think you’re right, ignore it is. Enjoy being miserable watching us win games of football. You were after all the first one to come in here and gloat that you were right. About as right as that goal umpire 🙄

Max Gawn's 200th
A literal giant of the game. The best ruckman of the last decade and one of the all time greats. A brilliant captain, a brilliant club person and someone you are really proud to call your own. Everyone loves big Max and he’s given us 200 bloody brilliant games. From the hilarious to the downright insane. Kicking goals to win is a minor premiership, kicking goals to get us into a grand final, and holding that cup after 57 long years. Well done on 200 heart and soul games. Jimmy knew you were special and you’ve shown us all why! Here is to more AA jackets, more giant babies and most importantly more premiership medallions!

COACHES VOTES: Rd 22 2023
Hewett with 9 votes… Oliver had more clearances, more tackles, more pressure acts and more meters gained… after 10 weeks off, and got 0 votes I call BS!

Nic Naitanui Retires
As captain no less… or is that role reserved for Selwood?

Nic Naitanui Retires
He had high impact, but he didn't impact often enough. Still achieved more than the Watts, so credit to him.

I thought it was funny. I didn’t mean to offend.

Has our form been overstated?
The thing is, Carlton won that game with their pressure. Those 3 players don’t bring that same pressure. McKay comes in at the expense of a small and is not great at ground level. Cerra and Walsh win a lot of the ball but they don’t play a high pressure negative midfield role. They probably replace someone like Dow or Cunningham who had 27 and 31 pressure acts respectively. Cerra and Walsh only average 20 pressure acts per game as an example. McKay is hovering around 9 pressure acts per game, which is average for a key forward, but IMO he makes their forwardline less potent. Of course they are great players who win clearances and kick goals, so undoubtedly they make Carlton better. It’s whether or not they help Carlton maintain the manic pressure that’s won them games that I question.

Umpiring discrepancies
A billion dollar organization that wastes so much money on absolute nonsense, can’t find a few bucks to invest in better cameras? Give me a break, the AFL is an amateur organization. They don’t want full time umpires and they don’t want to better their technology to help assist umpires. Sort it out before Collingwood lose a final to ****ty ARC vision and all hell breaks loose 🙄
