  1. The ginger prince returns
  2. Their defence has tightened, but with fast ball movement it can still come apart. Weitering is an absolute star, but the rest of their defenders are only so so. I would like to see Melksham play on Weitering in this instance. If we can get the advantage in and around stoppage, I reckon we will move it quickly to exploit their defence. Particularly without Petty, we will need to try and move it quicker as well, so we can find some space for our small forwards to work into.
  3. What are you talking about? They already won the flag. We are living in a simulation.
  4. Where does Gus play? I would also give Kosi some more time on ball. He is super productive in there on low minutes, and can exploit Carlton's lack of speed in the middle.
  5. You forgot speakers constantly playing loud BOOS for when we play in Perth.
  6. Does anyone think it will take the midfield a while to adjust back to having Clarry in there? A part of me wishes we played him last week to get back into it, but understand completely why that game was not worth the risk.
  7. I actually listened to that interview on the way to work. It was hard not throwing up in the car, but he categorically said it's not going to happen while he's playing and he has no plans to retire. Which is very unfortunate. He is a smooth talker. A sleazy politician if you like. Would fit right in on this corrupt commission.
  8. It is. But also they've been largely slop for the last 8 years. We were good for around half of those years 😅
  9. They are full of confidence. Boy it would be SO sweet to pop that balloon on Saturday night. Also LOL at the comment that we were behind against Norf last week. They were too against the Saints. Playing at Marvel not Tassie. And they had to play hard contested footy to win. We played 15 minutes of good footy then rested our prime movers in the last.
  10. Is Grundy a GWS supporter?
  11. Firstly, why are these all men? Secondly, the Melbourne supporter definitely looks the smartest, cleanest and best dressed. But where’s the cheese?
  12. The lure of a flag for a guy in his last season or two could produce some real magic. It seems to have done it for Melksham. I’ll reserve my hopes until I see how he goes with Casey on Sunday. I hope he is moving freely and slightly faster than a glacier.
  13. It’s less time consuming to list what he doesn’t eat. He is not match fit.
  14. Good find that. I only find empty chip packets and dog hair behind my couch.
  15. Ooooh who is your son? I really hope its Matt Jefferson...
  16. I hope it all blows up in their face. All of it. Every single thing.
  17. And we love having opposing views, there is nothing wrong with that. Having opposing views is what makes this place tick. It would be super boring if everyone thought the same all the time. I hope you are enjoying the ride. It's never been better (unless you're old enough to have been around in the 50s and 60s).
  18. Apparently JVR was minutes away from playing in the elimination final but Gawny was declared fit. Sitting near the bench in that game, with Gawn popping painkillers like candy, nobody in a Melbourne jumper looked fit to me. It was a complete nightmare.
  19. How long have you been posting here? I don't think very long, unless you are a banned poster posting under a new name... Either way, if you really think this about Demonland, you obviously are new. This is where negativity thrives. But forgive those of us who look at us sitting pretty in second spot with 3 rounds left of the H&A season, after a flag in 2021, and a top 2 finish in 2022, not wanting to take a steaming [censored] on the club right now. It's always so easy to be negative, and nothing is EVER as good or as bad as it seems in footy. Things changes so quickly, just ask Pies and Blues fans. But right now, if you can't see any positive things about where the club is at, then I just feel really sad for you. I for one want to enjoy this rare moment in time where we are an actual serious contender, rather than constantly looking over my shoulder at the black hatted negative nellie behind me.
  20. So we gave him a contract extension so we can delist him?
  21. I love that your changed your name. Brutal.
  22. He is one to two hundred burgers short of a run in the seniors. Needs a good pre season to be a chance to get a game next year IMO. Could still be two seasons away. Developing nicely and should stay on this path. JVR was far more physically ready last year and still didn’t play when everyone else was slowly dying. I reckon Jefferson is far less likely to been seen in 2023.
  23. I don’t think he came across as rude at all. To me he came across as someone who thinks he’s been right to play for weeks and been told no by the club, so is saying I don’t know if I’ll play as he knows the decision is ultimately not his to make. Bit of a dig at the power above I’d say. It’s why he mentioned needing to get through training because he’s obviously been told that’s a non negotiable. It’s also why I think he was playing around at training pretending like he hurt his hammy. He’s clearly just a frustrated player who has been told no too often for his own liking recently and can’t handle it. It is, after all, his first ever serious injury. He came across as annoyed and incoherent. As for not stopping for the media, I think that would have been more rude and caused more panic. “Oh Clarry is refusing to answer questions about his recovery. What’s he hiding?!!!” I think ultimately the media should know he’s not going to give them what they want, which is a clear coherent well spoken discussion about a topic. Go to Trac, Lever or Gawn for that. Not Clarry 😂 And by the way, given the rubbish that’s been aimed at him and the club from mainstream and social media during this hamstring saga, I reckon he has every right to flip everyone off. He is after all a drug trafficker 🙄
  24. Carlton are a massive chance in this game and to think otherwise is foolish. They’re in great form and ticking off all the key matrix of a serious contender. I think we should and will beat them if we bring our best. It’s round 22 and everything is on the line, including a home final. If we can beat them in and around the contest, and I’m confident that we can, as well as close down their ball movement from half back, the points are ours.
