Fit Spargs is a really important cog in the machine, need him back at full flight in 2025 if we're going to go far.

Can still remember walking back to the car with my dad, holding his hand and crying my eyes out. I was 29 years old.

2024 Player Reviews: #32 Tom Sparrow

That would be very optimistic in my opinion. -

What do you think we'd realistically get for him Daz? Don't think he has much currency at all tbh. -

Seems unable to take that next step to impact games and become more consistent, disappointing because he has some great attributes. -
Nathan Jones joins MFC as an Assistant Coach
Little Richard replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
I was under the impression he'll be the assistant midfield coach, meaning we'll have someone more senior and with more experience in the role above him. I'm pumped to have Chunk back though, great addition to the wider coaching staff. -
2024 Player Reviews: #14 Jack Billings

Bit of an inconsistent year and looks to be a confidence player. I thought he played a few good games though and can find the ball. Decent depth player at least, but maybe it will click for him in 2025. -

Developing nicely so far, hopefully he continues to come on! -
9 Reasons to be Positive Heading into 2025
Little Richard replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
How quickly people have forgotten Spargo's value when fit. He was arguably our most important and effective link up player going inside 50 when we were at our peak. -
2024 Player Reviews: #23 Shane McAdam
Little Richard replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Wow, I thought he was like 24. No idea what they were thinking with that trade. Start from zero next year and please Shane, give us something. -
Jackson was an anomaly. How many other rucks over the past 10-20 years were virtually ready to go like he was? It's no secret the majority take much longer to develop.

Enjoyed his work at the Dees and he'd certainly have played more games if it wasn't for Maxy's dominance. Where did you find his weight? I thought they didn't publish that info anymore.

The importance this year lies in maximising our draft position so that Lamb's impact is limited and Taylor has the best opportunity of unearthing more great youngsters. I don't think this thread is going to cause any disruption within the club mate.

Tairon Ah-Mu - No access for Dees NGA Talent
Little Richard replied to demonglory's topic in Melbourne Demons
This system is an absolute farce, what a joke. -
I don't see why there would be any confidence in McAdam from what we've seen so far. Jeffo probably to play a handful of games next year so Membrey would likely hold that spot for most of the year IMO. I agree that Petty really improved late in the year but I'd rather see him down back or playing high forward where his marking can help us link up.

Ken Hinkley - Head of Football

I think Emperor has a nicer ring to it -
Was inevitable after that interview IMO. Thanks for your service Kate.

Surprised how excited I am for tonight's game! Arguably the two most in-form teams going at it. Going to be an absolute ripper, really hope the Doggies can do it.
-
Sounds like he's a good size but is entirely untried at AFL level. Second round pick it is!

Getting worse and worse...

Does feel like an appearance for appearances sake (as expected), not getting anything new here.

Whately asking good questions, straight to the point. Roffey trying to play a straight bat and has said 'I've not talked to him about that so can't comment' a few times now.

Congratulations Jesse - Coleman Medalist.

Apart from Howe I can't really think of any I don't have a soft spot for. -
Congratulations Jesse - Coleman Medalist.

So happy for him, he deserves it. Makes me a little sad to remember just how freaking good he was as a 19-year-old in the red and blue. But really glad he's fulfilling all of that potential.
