You are walking along a thin line, TBF ...

What is the sound of one thread clapping? How do you hold a moonbeam in your hand? Not to in too much Yoda-speak indulge, no

Anything about "copping flack"

I am with OD on this one. One part of me doesn't really care, and thinks that a case could be made why each of the three who will miss out "deserve it". Another part of me (the loyal Victorian) is always happy to see Sydney or Fremantle lose rather than Geelong or Hawthorn. A win for the latter will make my father-in-law happy, but as unpopular as it may be on here, I think I actually want Geelong to win. But if they don't, I am sure I will find a reason to be happy about it ...

Yes, make sure your avatar always beats true for the red and the blue :-)

Nice one, BB59sy ... :-)

My four all walk in two legs, but also seem to be obsessed with food ... I have never thought to Google my beard, but thanks for the idea! :-) As for red and blue beards, I had to make my own :-)

Now you are sounding like my kids, TBF ... The beard is fixed to the chin, and there it is staying! (not even for two bananas)

Lol!

I don't see the problem, Old Deesy ... And is Ballsy a player we should trade for?
-
I get you, OD, but I think the crux of the argument is deserve vs. need. Perhaps we don't deserve one (how would you do that?), but we need one, and we have the AFL Commission to make judgements like this rather than the 17 other clubs. Put another way, if we don't get a PP now, nothing short of a terrorist attack on our training base will get us one.

You have my backing, Redleg --- not that it will help you much ...

Sorry OD --- that completely went through to the keeper for me ... FWIW if you can find them on DVD, perhaps your grand-daughter may be interested.

Wacky cartoon show from the late 60's or early 70's. I can still hear the jingle in my head. Perhaps you were too old for cartoons when they were on, OD? Tra-la-la, la-la-la-la, tra-la-la, la-la-la-la-lah .... .Tra-la-la etc.(ok, so they weren't renowned for their lyrics ... )

The Banana splits! Whoa, that takes me back (and dates you BB59 and anyone else who recognises them ). Mind you, with a bit of their run and spread in the midfield, we couldn't have done much worse in the past couple of seasons (and at least it would have been funny )

What have you got against hangers, OD?

Better than next Friday (13th)

Sounds like time to switch to decaf, TBF

Not long home from the game. A good second half, with lots of spirit, especially given the same old horrors of the second quarter. I was sitting about two rows in front of Russell Howcroft, and about six rows back from the spot where Howie took the hanger that was out on the full. Saw Wonna talking to Dom Barry at half time, and towards the end of the game noticed that most of the non-playing Demons were seated nearby, including Joel MacDonald. Nice to see Flash run down Adam Cooney in the last quarter -- a `Flashback' you could say. It was easily the best atmosphere of any Demons game I have been to in the past few years. When we learn to use the ball better and get some poise under pressure, it will be a different team. It was no coincidence that we looked very good when running the ball out of defense and backing ourselves, rather than stuffing around, second-guessing, and taking the third or fourth option. Surreal ... goodbye and good riddance to season 2013, but the last two quarters were by far our best for a long time. Hope is kindled ...

Whoa! Never seen a red and blue frog before ...

And how big the bananas are ... PS what is with the change of avatar? Aren't you a frog anymore?

Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God ...

Midfielders?

No - you would claim that the bananas were bought in Mexico by a muscular dystrophy sufferer, and he gave them to you for a snack once he didn't want them anymore. Anyway, you signed a waiver saying that Con the Fruiterer told you it was all ok, but the records stating the date you ate the bananas, how many there were and what condition they were in were eaten by passing dog, so there is no proof that you actually ate any bananas at all, even if they were found in your possession, and despite the fact that you have been having injections of fruit-based substances which were only ever vitamins, despite being secretly injected over the road from your doctor in a secure room with no cameras ... What's that song? Ah ... "Yes, we have no bananas ... "
