  1. No - you would claim that the bananas were bought in Mexico by a muscular dystrophy sufferer, and he gave them to you for a snack once he didn't want them anymore. Anyway, you signed a waiver saying that Con the Fruiterer told you it was all ok, but the records stating the date you ate the bananas, how many there were and what condition they were in were eaten by passing dog, so there is no proof that you actually ate any bananas at all, even if they were found in your possession, and despite the fact that you have been having injections of fruit-based substances which were only ever vitamins, despite being secretly injected over the road from your doctor in a secure room with no cameras ... What's that song? Ah ... "Yes, we have no bananas ... "
  2. Welcome back, DC. The ghost who walks rides again :-)
  3. So their hearts beat true, and they'll never walk al8one? :-)
  4. She has made a good choice of father-in-law!
  5. Hope it is great occasion, Redleg. A Demonland social function will always run a distant second!
  6. An admirable show of faith, BBO. Pity about the result, but the boys did respond with their lowest losing margin of the year. Gotta count for something, I guess, such as it is this year...
  7. I thought they were North's mascot for a minute. Might put me off banana cake for a few hours.... :-)
  8. Whoa! Sounds like too much information to me!
  9. Sounds like a chocolate, or perhaps a biscuit ... :-)
  10. A sign outside saying "Diet banana cake swap meet"? And another saying "The foxes went *that* way" for the alpacas? We could also just ask everyone to sing 'Its a grand old flag' in public, as you would have to be true red-and-blue or certifiable or both to do that ...
  11. No alpacas, though ... :-)
  12. Great idea, Redleg. We could also discuss how the boys are training the house down under the new coach ... :-)
  13. I thought it was the number of slices of banana cake to be consumed by the end of the season ...
  14. Glad to hear it was a good trip, OD. I am a native of Bendigo myself, but left when I was a baby, and have no connection there now. Should auld acquaintance be forgot .... (dimly recalls singing that in the distant past :-))
  15. He'd be better off with a rather large banana smoothie ...
  16. For me its like banana cake ...
  17. All the best, DC. Hope it goes well, and you come back here better than ever.
  18. Glad to hear you are alright, OD. Certainly puts things in perspective. Good omen, I guess, as it seems that luck is on your side on the things that count.
  19. That's the spirit! The Dees certainly provided the hell on the weekend ...
  20. Sounds like it will be more enjoyable, even if we win by 100+. Any victory for us this season will be sweet, but soon forgotten; a weekend catching up with old mates will surely be something that lives in the memory for ever. Hence don't think of it as an omen, but the right decision.
  21. If by "here" you mean on this thread, then no problem. On some of the others, I think three months would be akin to a sentence for daylight robbery ...
  22. Sorry to hear it, OD, but you know the saying -- there is always next week!
  23. Ditto. I did think in the last quarter that OD and BB made much better choices for the weekend ...
  24. Yeah, no point in saving banana cake -- carpe bananum and all that ...
