  1. Banana dacquari? FWIW I think tomorrow afternoon is likely to be time for banana cake. What about you, Redleg?
  2. Like the stale-cardboard banana cake? :-)
  3. You mean apart from this one? :-) The Aaron Davey one got close for about 6 posts or so.
  4. Y Yeah, should use their non-preferred foot instead .... Perhaps next time you should ask for a checkside smooothie ... :-)
  5. Unfortunately scoffed the lot. Happy to shout you some next time.
  6. Had some banana cake myself today, and it was a lot better than stale cardboard (and not Starbucks, too).
  7. Too right on both counts.
  8. Not to mention getting lost on the way down
  9. Presumably you won't be back, then? Unless you prefer fresh cardboard ...
  10. That last bit is the key, OD. Long may it last! Maybe one day we can sit near the old race, watch the Dees win and laugh about 'when we were crap' :-)
  11. Amen to that, Redleg. The Zen nature of this thread is a real joy.
  12. Sounds like a weekend to savour, OD. If the iPad is still behaving itself, then maybe the only thing lacking is the Dees beating Hawthorn by 10 goals in two weeks time (yes, I am an idiot! )
  13. Sounds good, but don't drink the stuff they pretend is coffee in that place ...
  14. Get some bananas into them before the game to fire them up, perhaps? Knowing our lot, they will probably come out and play like B1, B2 and the Rat in a Hat
  15. Good to hear you are back in form, Redleg.
  16. Perhaps the bananas got done for peptide abuse and were banned for two years? Otherwise, the sky really is falling ...
  17. Glad to hear it, OD. May the force continue to be with you!
  18. Maybe he has borrowed some foot cream from Jack Trengove, and got high on peptides?
  19. To make them much easier to counterfeit, of course (especially all the Masonic symbols on the $1 bill) ...
  20. There is a whole lot of self-flagellation on most other threads, which is understandable, but I find it gets a bit boring after the 37th time ... I find it hard to understand why some people seem to enjoy arguing the pants off each other about how bad we are ('No, I said we are crappier than crappy crap' 'But I think we are crapper than that!' etc). But then I find it hard to understand how people make money out of hip-hop ...
  21. Whenever that happens, Redleg, I'll shout you a banana smoothie ...
  22. Or you couldn't give free ones away ...
  23. That's Georgia in the USA, I presume, not the one in the former USSR ...
  24. Yes, but don't tell anyone else! First prize is a reserved seat for our next game at Geelong (second prize is two seats )
  25. I hear you, OD, but living on the good stuff is better than the alternative. 1981 lives on in my memory for a visit to training with my Dad (who knew one of the then training staff) and briefly meeting Ron Barassi, the applause that greeted Ron before the first game against Hawthorn (grrr!) and Robbie's mark in the goal square to kick the winning goal against Footscray for our only win of the season. Otherwise a season full of garage, long since forgotten. Life is too short; you have to focus on only the good bits. Interesting comment about the old race --- small world, eh? (or large crowd ) I have a feeling that I may end up there more often if we perform like we did in that quarter ...
