It is the thing called hope, OD. A narrow win over the Dogs doesn't change much, as you said, but at least now there is the prospect of going to the footy without wondering why we bothered on the way home.

I guess that shows the value of fixed rules for a PP -- it means that there is no point in other clubs whingeing about it. Once it is in the discretion of the AFL, as now, it is in every other club's interest to whinge about it, in the hope that this will minimise the chance of it happening. Perhaps I am just getting too old and cynical, but I think we should expect a thorough campaign of opposition from all 17 other clubs, simply as it is in their interest for us not to get a PP.

Sane conversation maybe, but the Demons supporters involved could still be clinically insane -- for that matter, just following the Dees and admitting to it on a public forum probably settles the matter in favour of insanity ...

At my place, hiding them under the vegies or the wholemeal bread would work just as well ...
