In my youth, my cousins on the farm would agree with BBO - the curvy item about 40cm long is a jemmy, and a crowbar is about six feet of straight black solid metal, with which one could do some really serious damage ...But true to the imprecise and informal times in which we live, crowbar can refer to all kinds of similar instruments, it seems .... Ok, you can go on with your lives now :-)
