Viney has stepped up massively since Oliver went down. Imo he is in career best form and at the right end of the season.

Sparrow in for Harmes would be my only change. Tomlinson remains in and Smith is our permanent sub for the rest of the season.

Viney was awesome in the last. Great game. Tomlinson played well too. Would like to see both him and Petty in the same side but not sure how that is possible unfortunately. I would definitely let Petty rest for a couple more games though.

After thinking about it imo Vineys goal is the best one of the game for me. His strength in the contest against a much bigger and stronger player, his will to get the ball and determination to kick for goal was enormous in the context of the match. He may not always hit targets by foot but bloody hell I love him and am so grateful he is on our side.

What about how right on the final siren Hipwood was trying to claim the mark when he clearly had his arm high around Levers neck and the fact that Lever marked the ball in the side of his body first only for Hipwood to take it out of his hands. What a [censored]. Did give me a good laugh though.

Let’s not forget how important Brown is to our structure. He takes the best defender and allows other players in our f50 to flourish. Well played browny.

Todd Viney was also in the rooms which was great to see. No BS from us about him being employed at North Melbourne and not being allowed in the rooms. Common sense prevails for once.

I want to take a minute to thank Dayne Zorko, one of my favourite lions players. Stay with me. If he didn’t give Brayshaw so much space, it was like he was half way back to Brisbane, then Brayshaw wouldn’t have got the kick off into our forward line and milkshake wouldn’t have marked and kicked the winning goal. So thank you EL DORKO U [censored]. I hope that loss stings for a long time. It couldn’t have happened to a nicer player Apart from the 21 GF it’s the best win we have had in a long time. I know we have concerns d I’m not blind but I would rather win ugly and have things to work on than lose and still have things to work on.

Love the positivity after a win, what have u been like the last 2 weeks after our losses! We did win, a bad win is still a win with some things to work on. Better to have a bad win than another loss imo.
