It’s sad it’s ended this way. Olivers past behaviour seems to have been accepted by the club and u behave with what u can get away with. Maybe just maybe if he was pulled into line a long time ago things would be different now but we will never know.

As far as I understand it’s come from the media I think it was Sam on SEN not the club though.

I know the strategy and what has been said but will be interesting to c what actually happens compared to what has been said. Time will tell.

My gut feel is that this bs will go to the last day and last few mins of the trade period and we will end up getting bent over and taking pics. IMO this is the worst scenario if it happens especially that both Big G and King have gone on and on about wanting players not pics. If this does happen my confidence in Big G and King will take a big hit.

Doesn’t mean he rates us though dd and that could be the problem. With no Flanders and potentially no Hump we could have a sizeable amount of egg on our face. Hope that’s not the way it turns out but time will tell.

So the Saints wined and dined him with some top brass attending and I think I read somewhere we had a coffee meeting with him. Not sure if that’s right but if it is why did we not go all out and roll out the red carpet to get him. Maybe we wanted him but not bad enough not sure what the play was here but having his former coach as our head coach did sfa

This is a good get imo. His age is only a number and he has had a couple of seasons where he didn’t play so hopefully his body is good to continue for longer. From what I have seen of him he seems of good character which is not normally what u associate with collywobbles players and will be invaluable in helping JVR with forward craft. It’s a win win imo.

sorry rpfc I thought @picket fence was our forwards coach, star forward, forwards mentor etc etc etc 😜. Cant have too many cooks in the kitchen!!!

I would have thought the King connection would have been to our advantage but obviously not. Hope we have some other plans in place and this is not all for nothing.

So looks like we are losing May, Petracca, Oliver and McVee this offseason if all goes to plan. God I really hope King can coach and that the MFC knows what they are doing. It will be either a genius move or horrendous one. Time will tell.

I like Big G. Whenever I have heard him talk or be interviewed he comes across really articulate. Hopefully we have picked a winner here.
