Just surprised at the selection of Petty over Tomlinson I have always thought Tommo best was better than Petty and I thought KB was a fantastic game by him. thought petty would come back via Casey but I am not at the practice and not a selector, my vision is mostly on the tv, but glad Smith is still there sheet I hope he stays fit. X factor in my view go Dees

Great players these guys may, that’s maybe, become. They are only one player. with Tasmania changing the future, we should look to draft to cover this period of time when the draft is corrupted

Three things I have taken from watching the replay 1/. the first few minutes we played well but not full throttle pressure. We actually passed it to their centre line players a couple of times. Obvious result. 2/ After Viney goal we were by far the better side. Hardly allowed them any space and forced them wide. 3/ again in the last two minutes similar against Port, we had some terrible decisions go against us and we sort of stopped and expected the decision to be reversed. Which it did not and we were too comfortable in the 17 point lead. that did change in the last ball up. !! BOG. Viney. He is harder than his old man.

Without going over board that game ( only listened to radio) seems to have laid down a foundation for the rest of this year. pies had some out. we had Petty, Bowey, Oliver, BBB, and Tmac missing all potential best 23, also Jackson to freo from our 2021 side thats as big a chunk of players as the pies one third almost we can be optimistic. !!

How come some sides look like they are playing absolutely shout housely and then when they play the mighty Dees they grow another leg and play great. It’s just not fair.

Now I do know I was there, cannot remember much, I do know we had watched Robbie a couple of times in the twos on earlier days. My memory is failing me... There was also another young player around that time I think, but not on that day and I remember thinking Flower huh he will not be any good with such a surname, but this other guy seems tough. Or am I remembering through beer coloured glasses. I do remember clearly The lad coming into the Redlegs (I think)after game function, led in by his father. Such a slight frame, how come he could play footy and I could not. He did get quite round of applause. For a long time the only reason you could take pleasure was R. Flower on the wing.. A definite reason for the Dees to go hard on Monday

If they target anyone. If will be JVR , McVee, or Spargo perhaps Chandler youngest most inexperienced, the will not pick Kossy cos he would fire right up back at them we will win this game 20 points I say. Go Dees

Liking the comments will have two changes I think Oliver and Hibberd. No others I like Tomlinson down back with Salem playing better. McVee as well. It’s settled. up forward Smith did OK created and moved. Bit like Tmac used to do, it’s pretty much settled. hope the mids kick it in front of them. if you remember it was only one maybe two very wrong umpiring decisions in the last 5 minutes that helped us lose. Tmac still has a sore head…. and port are in red hot form . We are their equal. Good enough to beat the pies . wish I could watch Only listen ABC on the way home. Go Dees make the replay one to watch

He is slowly coming good bowey until he was sat on was also great.

I thought it was a great move putting Petty forward but he seems awkward there, might be good at times. I did think Tomlinson would cover for him but seems not to be in the mix. But I think its time he went back, get the 2021 back line essentially back together, then look at the entry into our forward 50 and our forwards. I also think we got Schache cos the bullies did not rate him, they might be correct, JVR is very young and while has great potential does not walk on water yet. Still he has more energy in the 4th quarter than most

In my view, old fashioned probably, I think we need to have in the back paid, and if you fail to get rid of the ball correctly incorrect handball, and if there are 2 players from one side into there opponent on the ground, in the back, The game will open up and we will not have a rugby scrum rolling around the ground. Now I feel better n better

I can only look on from a distance. So no inside information. but it seems to me that during 2021 everyone in the club I mean all the players were really invested in the “team” doing well, it does not seem to have that same cohesion and pure enjoyment anymore. I can remember Oliver tracca and praps Harmes grabbing the ball mid air mid flight with a huge grin on their face. I do not see that now. We need to get over the blues and enjoy.
