GAMEDAY: Rd 09 vs Carlton
Great comments, can I use them on my mates? We are better than last year when we gifted the game. Bowey in makes us better. Petty usually keeps his form once he is up to speed. and we have Leb on a wing. and Disco is providing an alternative to our Mr Smith. and I do not think the Captain’s run took much fitness away from us. Just a loosen upperer. more angst on the keyboards than on the field Go Dee’s

TRAINING: Wednesday 8th May 2024
I think we all need a cup of tea. A bex and a good lie down, get ready for the football tonight and a win against the baggers. About 3 goals I think.

Go for it, but be careful, do not want a heart attack on the keyboard. Blood goes everywhere.

Personally 3 or 4 just as good might be enough. Go Dee’s

COACHES VOTES: Round 08
Who gave what to whoever is of course debatable. But your reasoning seems ok. only way for Holmes to get 8. Is to get a 5 and 3. petts got 1 vote Max and May shuffled 3 and 0. And 2 and 1 . No other way. That leaves Kossy 4 and 0 Lever 5 and 0 and Guthrie on the 4 and missing 2 What a lot of fun. it does highlight the difference in the coaches That Lever and Kossy were not considered a threat by one coach but we’re by the other. At least Guthrie and Holmes got votes from both. There is no guarantee that Scott gave his boys 4 and 5. Go Dee’s. I do hope we have planned to come out hard against the blue baggers. their last minute win last year gave me the shirts. Quiet all day then we panic and kick it to them twice in the last minute or so and they think they were champions. Right in front of me as well.

NON-MFC: Round 08
If they were paid in a similar way to players and I mean quite well. Then the incentive is too not make a mistake and keep getting a game to umpire each week . And therefore a hell of a lot of money. The best umpires get a high profile, the best games and the best sponsor ship. the cream will rise to the top. how can you have professional players being dictated to by part time actors. Full time umpires. It’s the only way forward. They become accountable and if paid enough, you will get more people willing to do that job. In all grades, and I have umpired but at a very low level. I used to call the game in my head and go with the first thought.

NON-MFC: Round 08
Definitely. And if they make mistakes they get dropped. Less salary. Only way. Make them accountable to get it tight and get in the correct position to see the play.
