  1. I think with the change of out game plan to generate more attach (play on, switch, etc) from our HB line, plus the new deliberate out of bounds rule, Tom and others have had to change their role and attitude more than most in the team. As a result we're scoring much more while still defending as well as last year, and many of those attacks are set up by our backs. another factor is the absence of Salam, Lamumba, Melksham, Garland and Dunn, means the responsibility for leading and implementing these new tactics has fallen squarely on Tom and his young co-back men, most of which are in their first season or two I.e Wagner, Hunt, OMac, etc.. If he fails to implement he's punished immediately unlike errors made further up the field.
  2. I'm don't understand what you're saying. UFU?
  3. I think you're confusing your objectives with your subjectives.
  4. I was thinking noise activated electrodes attached to their testies...
  5. Never like losing, but prefer this kind of loss to a top eight team than the beltings we've received from top eight teams for the last decade. The boys are creating experiences that confirm they belong and can match it with the best, but have more work to do. Thats where we're at. If we take the angst of these losses and the confidence from going toe to toe with the big boys into the remaining games, then we'll be a chance to win any of them.
  6. Hopefully it will sting the players as much as us and they'll take that venom, learn and grow meaner as a result. Maxy certainly looked annoyed in the last and I reckon a few of them will be feeling it.
  7. A very frustrating loss, we had it in our hot little hands and [censored] it. Merde!
  8. Ok so if you're analysing the game for lost goals, what about Hogan's pathetic efforts today? a key forward who struggles to kick from 50 and was absent for half the game... He played worse than both the Macs, was out shone by Dawes,... but no mention...
  9. Kennedy kicked 3, Darling kicked 1, WCE kicked 10 goals MacDonald (O&T) did ok today against ones of the best forwards in the game (Kennedy) and helped cut the margin that WCE usually kick against us (at home) by over 40 points... Some here should save their vitriol for when our backs actually play badly.
  10. From AFL site "Questionable decisionsTwo decisions in the last quarter left many scratching their head, and they both went against the Demons. With two minutes to play, Dom Tyson was set upon near the boundary line in the pocket and mocked the ball over. The resulting free kick relieved untold pressure on the Eagles although Josh Kennedy missed his shot. The Eagles players waved their arms and gesticulated wildly. The crowd went ballistic. It was what is called a home-town free. Earlier in the quarter another dubious decision inside West Coast's forward line resulted in Josh Hill slotting an important goal."
  11. Our backline was good, our forwards failed to get the job done.
  12. Hogshite!
  13. Frost was epic! Run! Frosty Run!
  14. Played the entire last quarter as if we had two minutes to go... woefully stupid entry into forward line. And the [censored] umpires.
  15. Forwards not working hard enough running back to defend our 50m line. Garlett larising and leaving his man to go for glory caused last goal. Darwin excuse after 8 day break is hokum!
  16. Gotta love the Could-have-beens!
  17. North have a tough run home. Our game against Port may determine which of us could challenge the Roos for a spot in the eight... #deesfinals2016
  18. Would any lift their assessment of Roos if we can string a run together these last 7 games and make finals?
  19. In some ways it won't be possible to assess Roos legacy for another couple of years, as he's undoubtedly bowing out well before his time is up, (in the normal way the coaching cycle goes) and would have taken this team well up the ladder over the next few years if he'd stayed...

  21. As Paul Roos' time as MFC coach winds to an end over the coming months, it's time to evaluate his three years. Is Roos our best coach since Norm Smith?
  22. Sun set for surgery, unclear on return date
