Quarter-time: Haw 3.5.23 to Melb 2.2.14 Sounds like we had a mini-surge in "red-time " to bridge the gap, good to see. Excited by the time (soon) when Jeremy is our third forward. -

I've noticed with Matt's tweets they get further apart as we get further behind... -

Make a friend Satyr and car pool...? -
Chicken and egg stuff... If we had Clark, Dawes and Hogan fit and firing for all 22 rounds this year we'd be a chance for the 8 assuming our midfield stays healthy and developed as we'd hope.

Pedo will win the Bradbury award this year! Starting 4 back to dominate at CHF!

Saving him for finals. All part of Roos master plan.

I disagree. His kids are now leaving school, leaving home. He'll have more time, less family demands... The fact that he's still doing TV work mean he doesn't find coaching as stressfull as a first time coach might.

A spanking is just what we need. The Hawks will get over it. -

agree totally with you B&C. It will be interesting if Jack plays against the Hawks. I'd include him at the drop of a hat. Maybe Roo's is saving him for the real stuff knowing the way he throws himself in (even at training) means he'll inevitably get injured...

AFL House Announcement coming up @ 10 am
PaulRB replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Interesting timing on the announcement just prior to whats seems to be ASADA's move on the Bombers. Reckon his final main leaving task will be to manage the impact of ASADA sanctions on the EFC and the competition this year, with the goal to have a new CEO with a clean compeition by the end of the year. -

Early days, and running the AFL a big leap away from running a club. I suspect the AFL would be wise to find a CEO from outside the Club gene pool, so conflicts of interest (or perceptions of) are not possible. -

Just hope that Peter Jackson has no ambitions for the role of CEO. -
I think with Clark and Dawes out we lack the long boundary hugging get out kick when the switch options were covered. Players like Matt Jones, Nicho and Bail get told if in doubt bang long down the line to Mitch or Chris. we lack genuine line breaking speed without nicho and Bail given Blease and Watts struggled turn it on with any good effect.

I reckon Ross will be hoping for a Stuart Dew type cameo from Col. Which he is well capable of...

Totally agree, game is too physical especially for a midfielder against the seasoned and physically developed Cats and Hawks.
