  1. You mean there was electricity then?
  2. And we get shafted in the fixture because we are few in numbers and generate little TV interest. Unfortunately the AFL is a business, an unsustainable business. The AFL needs an 18 team comp for their TVs rights obligations so we get financially propped up, but our poor on field success and meagre support base means little media coverage. Our 'profit' is not real as long as we cannot sustain ourselves. Hopefully the era of false dawns is over.
  3. Two familiar names to note: Rioli and Lovell
  4. No wonder. With 14,000+ posts dc I'm sure you were at a loss of what to do
  5. Work productivity amongst Dland members at an all time high whilst site down
  6. Hey, enough of the abuse. Read the code of conduct.
  7. Lions debt $12 mill and Carlton not far off handing the keys back to the AFL. A small part of me says 'yes!!!', but mostly I wonder what the hell has happened to the people's game?
  8. So then just for you dc... Things I saw I didn't like: - many tackles missed or not held onto well enough - many short kicks that easily missed their targets or caused the target to halt momentum. Saw Turls do this on at least three occasions. - Brayshaw sighted for only a short period of time, not sure what's going on there - a couple who really struggled in the running excercises, eg, Frost and Kent. Although given their injuries this season that might be forgiven - I turned around and saw Damien Barrett next to me. Most unpleasant.
  9. "In this country you gotta have the money. When you have the money, you have the power. When you have the power, you have the women." Your kind of man hey biff?
  10. Things I saw which I liked... In a 7 vs 5 drill (or whatever the numbers were) the ball was kicked forward of the players to Turls ( I think) who was running ahead of his man in same direction as incoming ball. Only problem for him was that his man was Joel Smith who leapt up high and intercepted with his finger tips to stop the play. Has a big leap. Got real encouragement for that. Second, saw JKH clean up Harmes who didn't see him close in quickly. Wasn't a big hit, play went on and there were no hard feelings. But good to see JKH engage in the contest. Also saw him lay a fantastic tacke which stopped play. Also liked OMac, he's got more size and is certainly developing a tank. Finished ahead in a number of his running drills. Might give his bro a run for his money in a year or two. Salem is all class, his disposal is exquisit and his awareness excellent. And finally, can I say one last time that Christian Petracca is a beast. Comparable only to Jesse Hogan.
  11. Tasmanlvr were you the guy with the laptop resting on the boundary railing? If so, you were typing like a man possessed! Great work
  12. TMac easily the best of the runners. Other notables were Harmes, Viney, OMac (he's building size and a tank), ANB and I thought Tyson did well. Strugglers were King, Frost, some of the Casey boys and Joel Smith. TMac surging ahead in this pic and Smith was well and truly spent back at the light pole. They all got around him when he finished, lots of encouragement for SOS.
  13. No Roos there. Rawlings faking a fair bit of the session.
  14. Can confirm Christian Petracca is one BIG unit. A lot of muscle on that guy.
  15. Started to vomit uncontrollably when I heard Prendergastly call Lucas Cook 'elite' three times in a row. Now I have to buy another laptop. Thanks Munga...
